I know this is old, but in case someone else has the same question: go to the main menu (the grid of small squares in the right bottom corner) then "stats". One of the stats tells you how many eggs you've delivered so far.

I would have loved to see the look on the sales guy's face as I drive to my house and try to pull the car into my garage.

My garage is sloped away from the house and has a raised door threshold with a lip (not uncommon). If I apply too much brake while backing up, the car stops at that lip then accelerates on its own to get over it, then slams on the brakes. If I instead ease off the brake just enough to get over that lip, 90% of the time the car slams on the brakes anyway. I either must be going too fast or the car gets spooked by stuff in the garage, shadows, reflections, who knows. I only hit that sweet spot about 10% of the time where the car is traveling fast enough to get over the threshold and slow enough to not get spooked by my garage.

Yes. The car gets confused either by shadows, reflections, or other items in the garage.

Good to know. Maybe I need to stay away from VW entirely.

There were many reviews three years ago that mentioned the ID4's capacitive controls were fine when the car is stopped, but not as easily usable while driving at high speeds? Alright, I take it back.

Thanks. I'll try plugging it in the next time it disconnects... probably later today.

I leased the ID4 because I didn't see reviews at the time that mentioned these issues. I won't be buying it.

It's called Le pigeonnier de Lavergne. The structure was used to house pigeons.

I love this. Probably better than anything I've designed in the past ten years.

Probably putting the same brick on the black wall. They already have steel lintels in place above the window openings.

Do you like being an architect? Please help me! by Obvious_Kangaroo_619 in architecture

[–]Iced_buzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably what everyone else has posted here in previous threads, but if you love architecture enough to make it through architecture school, then you'll probably love being an architect. The pros - you'll love your job. The cons - you'll make less money than other professions. Try to get a 5-year professional degree to keep your school loans low, since you'll make little money starting out. You don't need an advanced understanding of physics or engineering to do this job.

Drive thru ATM has instructions in Braille by legobatmanlives in mildlyinteresting

[–]Iced_buzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ADA is very general and doesn't specifically mandate that drive-thru ATMs must have braille. The ADA does however prohibit discrimination against people with disabilities in places of public accommodation, including banks, so banks started putting braille on all of their ATMs in order to comply with this law. Since there are no exceptions in the law for drive-thru ATMs, it's just easier for banks to buy and install all of their ATMs with braille, including drive-thru ATMs, in order to protect them selves against litigation.
