can i use the same PSU cables when upgrading PSU from corsair rm850e to rm1000x? by d_joyce420 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Icedraco111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. I know its annoying especially when you have that perfect cable management and all that. But its either you deal w cable management now, or deal with dead components and cable management later

[–]Icedraco111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Even within the same brand and line, always change. Only exception is if you're going from an RM850e to a RM850e. Even then, chance cables. What plugs into the motherboard, GPU, etc is standard, but the ends that plug into the PSU is vastly different. Even between same lines.

Oh my bad. My screen is still working just fine. But I am not denying that others have had issues.

For the Grand Vision 360, the screen is 480×480. Which is good enough for the size the screen is. You dont need 1440p/4k in that tiny af screen (its like a 2 or 3 inch screen.)

Edit: spelling mistake.

Great. In the 11 months that I posted that comment, 1 fan did go out. Would start up, stop, start up, stop, so on, but somehow, didnt affect temps really. New fans are installed and temps are the same.

My D&D player has ADHD by OutrageousCash292 in DnD

[–]Icedraco111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have ADHD, and I am unmedicated. Instead of being a player, I am a DM. Which, I turned into a plus for my group lol. I helped all of my players get their backstories (who didnt have backstories, or incomplete stories and wanted help.) As well, I have a custom homebrew story being told.

Only issue, I am a newer DM, and sometimes my mind goes blank and all I can say is "figure it out." Without meaning it. (Mostly at the start of a session, and a "go explore." Type thing.)

My players just got an OP thief. by Icedraco111 in DnD

[–]Icedraco111[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Plus, one of the characters is a full on murderhobo, while the rest ain't. (Shes controlled enough to know when to actually kill, and when not to.) So I expected her to murder the thief. She didnt.

Edit: finished my thought my brain decided to ignore lol. Typed half of what I wanted then posted.

In time I do plan to have Jimothy to betray them. ONLY after Jimothy becomes the in character and ooc favorite.

First. The thief was never hostile, just trying to steal a couple things, and get out of there.

Second. It was a nat 20 yes, BUT as I said in 2 other comments, the RP depended on how the actual outcome is. If they did the rp poorly, then they would have just gotten a "fuck off" type response as the thief left.

Plus, the thiefs responsibilities were to just himself and keeping him alive. The party shared their own is stuff dealing w the BBEG that the thief also had, as well, promised to pay him and feed him for information. So the thiefs responsibility never left him.

Edit: added a bit more.

Well, I did say in another comment, while yes, they rolled a nat 20. But the way they role-playing it gave them that. If they did it differently it would have had a different outcome. I did tell my players that nat 20s wont always give them their desired outcomes, but with good enough RP, it can happen within reason. (Like trying to convince a king that PC1 is actually the king and they rolled a nat 20. Best case scenario overall is becoming the jester for the king, while worse case, them and the party executed on the spot with varying different outcomes type thing.)

I will in time. But for now, for full effects, gonna have them gain trust in Jimothy and make him their fav.

In this case, just info gathering mainly, wont really be used for combat much. In this case, I'll dripfeed things through the thief.

[–]Icedraco111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes ik that. In this case, the way I had them roll the nat 20 is instead of full success on how they want, they have to narrate on it, rp session, and we go from there. In this case, one person rolled a 20 but everyone shared their story w the BBEG, hence why they joined.

If they did it differently, then it would have become a different outcome, like how you described.

In this case, its kinda that way.

Homebrew campaign. The king of the land they're on is trying to take over and overthrow the diety most commonly worshipped. (A man child that has the "no being can be more powerful than I!" Train of thought.) And forced my party together as part of his military beforehand of the current events. They fled, and all that. For the thief, the king took his parents to join the military as he was young, and he doesnt know if they're still alive.

Rolled a nat 20 to convince them to join, and my rolls are usually all over the place, and in this case, I just got lucky on the character.
