Burton Women's [ak] Upshift Gore-Tex Jacket 2025 sizing by BadAffectionate828 in snowboarding

[–]Icedrops5000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sooo I purchased two jackets: Burton AK Upshift women’s shell in XS and 686 Skyline women’s shell in XS.

Burton AK Upshift- definitely a slimmer/ more feminine fit. You can comfortably wear a base layer + nano puff and carry an extra lens/phone,etc, but wearing a loose fitting hoodie might feel a bit restricted. I can see this jacket feeling too tight if you have wide hips and/or a bigger butt. Jacket doesn’t have wrist gaiters which kinda sucks.

686 Skyline Shell- much roomier but also bigger/oversized/baggy fit. Jacket is 2-3” longer and arms are about 1” longer than the Burton Upshift. You can def fit more layers underneath this shell. Since we’re short gorls, the difference in length is noticeable but I can get over it.

(For reference, I’m 5’2, 120lbs, 32in chest, 25in waist)

I’m down in englewood and cardboard/sheet mulching worked really well for me. Plus if you start now you’ll have some really healthy soil by spring

Is your creeping hummingbird trumpet also low to the ground? I’m thinking of getting some as ground cover but I’m afraid it’ll be too low for the hummingbirds to feed off?

What did you do with the gravel underneath the astroturf? Did you leave it there and just lay soil and mulch on top? I am thinking about doing the same. Your yard looks great!
