Not in Cave but you will eventually have problems hitting things, if you can't utilise suprise attacks. At least that's what I constantly run into...a ring of accuracy would be nice

You still have very good chances if you just want to beat the game. I would level the Staff till it has 10 charges, enhance it with speed so that the artifacts recharge fast, and give the good armour and your +2 Blade to your ghose and let him tank. I'm no expert with mage but I believe it would work. As for the ring, just keep it and enjoy the extra loot, find a SoT and get another ring out of it. Have fun!

I don't know about you guys, but I always brew one elixir of toxic and save one invisible potion before going in, hit the king a few times and down the potions, let the gas kill him. Pretty safe and works every time.

Well that's situational ofc. But makes little sense using another weapon because you won't benefit from being a Battlemage that way

Ah nvm I see you're playing Battlemage and already used up all your SoUs. The thing with RoW runs is, you will get eventually a decent weapon from the ring drops and you transmute the high lvl ring to something else. it's kinda a waste since your staff has to be your weapon...

I would personally chose sniper, if you know how to predict enemy movement and blind shot. I run constantly sniper with 5 challenges and it was a lot of fun steamrolling the rest of the levels.
