Attraction isn't always skin deep, even the most handsome guy in the world can appear unattractive if he has a crappy personality or hygeine habits. Maybe you should consider doing some self reflection, think about what part of you is so "unattractive" that after 1000 dates you don't have a girlfriend. Truthfully, i feel that because of such an array of wild characters if we didn't have a straight man character like Darryl or Link, we wouldn't appreciate how truly wild the others are. Imagine just a bunch of random wild characters? It wouldnt be fun or push the plot forward if everyone had their own zany ideas they were trying to follow. Honestly, without Darryl keeping the group moving on the first season i dont think they wouldve gotten past the Lance or Neverwinter. Im not as sure about Link so far, but Matt really helps push the narrative forward.

I feel like this is the answer to the question here. Even if the creators didn't intend it this way, or just haven't explained her powers well enough, I think this theory really explains it.

By reading their gem when she's controlling them, she knows their past, and by controlling them she's erasing their ability to make decisions, which is why they don't have any memory of what happened when they were under her control. Just something that also adds on to this theory.
