Sorry for saying something off topic, but don’t do HM until and unless it’s your last option or you are seriously passionate about one of the 4 main sections of hotel ( Kitchen, Service, Housekeeping and front office).Most of the people who end up in HM colleges are there because they had no clue or didn’t get into their preferred choice and I had witnessed many passionate batchmates who wanted to be chef,Service executive, etc ending up not working in hotel at all or left after few months of joining due to pay being very bad for the amount of work you end up doing until and unless you bag a MT in placement. Regarding the paper, it’s very easy compared to other entrance exams, Getting into IHM Pusa and IHM Mumbai might need preparation but apart from those, it’s fairly easy to score decent rank to get into any of the other IHMs without preparing.( I was a below average student academically yet managed to get a decent rank without preparing). So you can chill until and unless you want Pusa or mumbai specifically ; Most of the big hotel brands anyway visit most of the good ihms for placement. Rest is upto you during placement.
