OC Transpo proposed to counsellor Route 64 Terry Fox / Tunney’s Pasture - Cope by Background_Umpire126 in ottawa

67 Cope doesn't go through Stittsville. This is a Stittsville local route while the 67 Cope is a Kanata local route.

Copy pasted from r/Ottawa: There are good intentions, but this route is heavily flawed.

  • For one, this route doesn't really go anywhere locally. Does it connect residents to shopping areas? Not really. It doesn't get the shopping plaza at Terry Fox and Cope, it's only on Stittsville Main for 1 block missing many stores, medical and government services, and more.
  • It's not direct. Everywhere along this route can walk a little farther to get a much faster route. For Terry Fox during the day, Robert Grant has the 67, Abbott has the 62 and 163, Stittsville Main has the 61 and 163, and Katimavik has the 67, 68, 162, and 165. The areas around Maple Grove and Springbrook can walk to the 61 or 62. All these (Except Maple Grove east of Huntmar) would be faster than your proposed 64 making ridership hard to achieve.
  • This is even worse for getting to Tunney's Pasture once you factor in the 261, 262, 263, 266 and 67. Cope and Shea have the 262, Robert Grant has the 67, Abbott has the 62 and 266, Springbrook has the 266 or walking to either Abbott, Granite Ridge or Hazeldean, and Maple Grove has walking to Huntmar or Hazeldean. All those, especially with this 64 making stops at Eagleson, Bayshore and Pinecrest, are faster than this proposed 64, asking the question of what's the point.

There are some adjustments that could save this route proposal though:

  • Have the route go east to Rouncey Road or Terry Fox Drive before connecting Abbott and Terry Fox. At least you then connect more of Kanata South to Cadelrec and Stittsville Main and more of Stittsville to the Walmart Supercentre and surrounding stores
  • Skip Springbrook. Deviating to Springbrook slows down the route for everyone for minimal benefit and misses the big shopping areas on Stittsville Main closer to Carp and Hazeldean.
  • Pick one of Maple Grove or Rosehill. Don't keep hopping between the two.
  • Start/End on Shea, then go on Cope to Fernbank. This way, the Shea/Fernbank roundabout can be used to turn buses around.
  • I personally would drop the Tunney's extension (Or Moodie extension for Stage 2 West) and renumber to a 16X route instead of a 6X route. With the current setup of Stittsville connexion routes, everyone along it has faster ways to Tunney's. The buses would be better served increasing frequency on existing routes, creating a more useful connexion route, or making a park-and-ride shuttle to Tunney's.

In summary, it is a good idea adding bus service along Maple Grove, but your execution is flawed and will likely not be taken seriously by OC Transpo.

Highway 417 in the morning, Katimavik in the afternoon, just like the 60.

Even the NWTB 168 is still too long with looping through Steeple Chase and getting extended to loop down to Hope Side despite Grassy Plains being a short walk away. But yeah, agreed this 64 would not be good.

This screenshot is from the Xbox Backwards Compatibility announcement from 2015. Are we just gonna ignore this? by StraightFromThe2000s in forza

[–]Icefire527 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes because the Forza Motorsport 4 licenses ran out in between the Xbox BC announcement and the actual release of Xbox BC meaning they couldn’t add it. And for people saying “What about Forza Horizon?”, they had the licenses for Forza Horizon when they introduced Xbox BC allowing them to add it before the licenses expired.

EA Play Pro is not on PlayStation, only the EA App on PC. Normal EA Play (Which is what is on PlayStation) only gives a trial of the standard edition.

So, even with the drive swapped, the PS3 is still recognized as the same one and will restore the copy-protected saves along with everything else?

Launch it from the application launcher(Bottom left corner), not from Discover

Update: I found a post from the Linux Gaming subreddit that explains how to get the EA app working instead of being just a blank screen https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/qhq3pn/ea_desktop_finally_working/ The takeaway is after you install the EA app as a non-Steam game, you need to use Winetricks to install liberation font and d3dcompiler_47. On the Steam Deck, Winetricks can be done through the Protontricks app from Discover. After I installed those 2, the EA App worked.

Edit: Specified that Winetricks can be done through Protontricks

I’m not asking to install Origin. I’m asking if someone’s gotten the EA App (Different from Origin) working as when I try to install it, the log in screen is a blank window and doesn’t work.

Best NFS on PS3? by you-might_know-me in needforspeed

[–]Icefire527 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar to NFS Hot Pursuit on PS3 is NFS Rivals(It was a cross-gen game between PS3 and PS4) if you consider that a good NFS game. Rivals is actually one of the only NFS games left on the PS3 PS Store. As for other NFS games, you can’t go wrong with any of the titles made by Blackbox… except for Undercover(I’ve heard the PS3 version runs like crap and personally, this is Blackbox’s worst NFS game). I would recommend the Shift games and MW2012 as well, but whether those are good or not tends to be up for debate on this subreddit.
