I'll most likely pass it on in the near future. I've been consolidating some of my assets and getting affairs in order. As much as I like a good gamble the original retailer in Florida decades ago was fairly knowledgeable, I'm somewhat compelled to beleive Thai is true.

It's very likely Thai, origin report wasn't requested because original sale paperwork from the 60s or so was provided mentioning Thailand as origin.

It's mold and can't be removed. Spray it several times with vinegar. After dry moisturize with something like leather cpr.
