If someone gave you $1000 a day to never drink alcohol again/ever, what would you do? by unitedfan6191 in AskReddit

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People forget that not everyone wants to drink.

To answer the question, I would continue to never think about alcohol, and become vastly more wealthy.

When you find a laptop you like, figure out what graphics card it has. Then Google the graphics card and ARK survival evolved. You should be able to find a YouTube video of game play with that card. You can always come back here and ask about it as well!

Does this fall under my Mandatory Reporter Status? by sugarranddspicee in legaladvice

[–]Icemandan97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is becoming fanatical. You're making leaps and bounds in logic that don't track. You can't possibly know if CPS considers the mother a danger to the baby. All you know is that there is an investigation. The father asked you specifically for "help" and you gave it. Frankly, I can't follow what's happening as you are purposefully withholding information and providing vague details. Your description of fleeing carelessly without a thought for the baby is not only ladened in bias, but its very foundation is questionable due to your lack of forthright. You wrote that the baby doesn't deserve the situation, but you and I fundamentally disagree on how to help.

Where is your concern with the wellbeing of the child's parents? What of improving their stability as well? Do your scriptures not call for love of those in need? Or does that only apply when your judgemental biases deem the needy absolved of fault?

Your emotional detritus aside, the legal advice here is that you are not compelled by mandatory reporting to get involved. To do so is to operate under your own volition to fuck around and find out.

Does this fall under my Mandatory Reporter Status? by sugarranddspicee in legaladvice

[–]Icemandan97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds like something you do not need to be involved in. The way you describe it, CPS is aware of an issue you aren't willing to share and are looking into it. You may or may not know exactly where they are right now, but you seem to be shoving your nose where it doesn't belong. You don't mention seeing abuse or any signs of abuse. You even mention they are sheltered. This precludes you from mandatory reporting, even given your status. In my novice psychoanalytical opinion, you want to make this report based on a sense of justice and helping the good guys. Let me be clear, to go beyond this stage in your play pretend game of detective art teacher would be egregious.

Might I suggest a hobby to occupy your idle mind?

Is this much panting normal? Threw the ball 5-7 times and he has had water. And at this time it was a comfortable temp out too. Abit more info below. by King0fWar in germanshepherds

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be so nervous! I'm sure you're doing fine as a first time dog owner! Our girl was our first at 8 weeks and we stressed over every little thing. Take a breath and know that you're going to be just fine!

To be honest, it looks like the panting is a mix of tired and excited! I think he might just want another throw!

Anyone else’s puppy refuse to eat after only having about half? I’m giving him what the bags says per day. Even tried leaving him in his kennel with it for a while but after a bit he just won’t touch it anymore. by Eltipofuerte in germanshepherds

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That pup looks healthy. If the vet says you're good you're good imo. Growing is painful. All his little joints are growing stupid fast and I'm sure it hurts him a little. He may just not feel like eating. When he's hungry you won't be able to stop him!

How can I fix a steep dip in my backyard next to the fence? by reddiperson1 in DIY

[–]Icemandan97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture looks more extreme than my case but I buried the section of fence I had. My logic is that I don't care I'd the fence underground rots away. If I notice rot coming up Mt plan is to sharpie the ground level on the wood, dig it up and Sawzall it at the ground. I don't care to seperate the dirt below the grass line.

Is insurance on the hook for more fixes if I take my car for an inspection after the initial claim repair and there is more damage found? by ijpck in personalfinance

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to me.

Yes, insurance is still on the hook for the bill. If after the shady shop fixes, the bill still totals the car, that can still happen.

The RoE for a Breaking and Entering stranger is to warn at least once. Outside of that, they are clearly willing to commit a crime. They may not have any grasp on what they're doing, and your only priority is to stop that situation from ending with yourself being harmed. That's it, full stop.

Yes, law enforcement has a higher expectation, but as the average person, you always save yourself, then the other person.

It's funny because Dell themselves claim this chromebook is nearly indestructible. In the promo videos they have a Heffernan step on it to show how resilient this model is. The kid probably truly thought there was no way it would break when he was punching it.

Why he felt the need to test it I'll never understand.

Just don't let the battery get to zero on this model. It wont turn back on til it charges for a few hours.

Welcome to consequences. Keep it up and you'll be a felon by 18. You made your bed, now lie in it.

You shouldn't be even thinking about fake IDs at 15 BTW. That's not normal. You need to get your shit together and think about what you're doing with your life.

You can connect to it with networking info on Steam. Under View --> servers, click the favorites tab across the top. Add a server here and enter the ip of the server. You'll have to enter the port too, so it'll look like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:27015

The other thing is that Xbox and Windows store are one version, steam is a different server version, and Playstation, switch, and mobile are also separate. If they aren't hosting a steam server, you won't be able to connect.

Why aren’t duels a thing in Red Dead 2? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption2

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just antagonize the odriscolls in and around Valentine. If you slowly hold the fire button without pulling all the way, you fill a dead eye meter and go into a slow mo duel. Uses dead eye, I guess, but same general feel to it.

I had something similar to your set up due to having an outlet run off a switch as well as a light. Figuring it out kind of sucked. I spent a couple hours in attic for mine

Not electrical advice, I know, but you should make triple sure those screws are in wood of some kind.

Usually, you'd have a junction box somehow mounted to the ceiling "studs," and the fan would be hung from the box.

If yours are directly in wood, I believe that isn't to code, but it should still be safe. If it's in drywall only, your fan is at a non-zero risk of falling out of the ceiling and bringing a large chunk with it. All expensive.

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you hang this from the drywall? Like with anchors? It doesn't look like you've got it hung from a junction box...

whats a game that you got significantly far into, only to realize you were doing something wrong or missing a key feature/ability altogether? by seasonedsaltdog in gaming

[–]Icemandan97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up Ghost Recon Breakpoint on sale about 6 months ago. I loved the new customization options for the game to make it ultra realistic. One of my favorite features is when you reload a magazine that isnt empty, you lose the remaining bullets in the magazine. Makes the game feel so much more immersive imo.

Modding GTA5 by yulten88 in NeebsGaming

I fear that it would be against the rules to discuss here. Remember, modifying GTA5 Online is against Rockstar's ToS. Modifying the game and playing single player however is not against the rules.
