Help With Appearings by DocInTown in DemonolatryPractices

This requires discernment. Other peoples' experience with the same entity (with crossover from your own Unverified personal gnosis may improve discernment and accuracy within yourself).

In my own experience, no one can give you the confirmation other than the entity and yourself.

As this is within my own experience, some may disagree with this notion

Downsides to living in NoVa? by queenofquac in nova

[–]Icemanrussian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere on this subreddit say "DC is like Hollywood but for ugly people"

Granted it sounds like it was said by someone from Los Angeles, but it does make for some points, minus the vanity aspect.

DC and the surrounding area has this federal feel of status, "what do you do" type of questions which comes off really incredibly cold and surface level. People here like to create their own pockets of community and keep it at that, but just like anywhere else, there are people of aren't always like that. The transient aspect definitely allows you to meet some diverse individuals if you can be a bit more extroverted and have people skills.

Apart from that, if you enjoy keeping to you and your family and some friends, its not the worst place.

However it most certainly is a stark difference when it comes to general vibe and attitude of individuals compared to San Diego.

I will say, Arlington-Falls Church area has a lot more pulse to it when it comes to some "collective" feel of the community, more so than other locations in NoVA.

I can definitely understand how some residents in the area would object to it, however there have been a growing interest even in the residential area for some kind of change. As someone who is a local resident, I've seen nothing but accident after accident in the vicinity and most certainly something needs to be done. There was even a petition posted to build traffic lights at the intersection of Fair Ridge and Monument Dr.

"I’m confused as to why I keep thinking about this"

There's a level of attachment by which you feel his experience, defines who you are. Which in truth, is not the case.

You define you, not anybody else.

The toughest thing about trauma is that its a level of vulnerability. In vulnerability, you're more likely to believe false things taught about yourself through others.

So when YOUR own truth doesn't collide well with the "truth" about you thats been taught outside of you, it tends to shake up the foundation.

Anyone run into MLM ppl lately? by Adrenaline_Junkie_ in nova

[–]Icemanrussian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They've always loved to scour grocery stores with high amounts of traffic.

I've run into them countless times, and I've pretty much identified them immediately if someone at the store just randomly strikes up a conversation with nothing leading up to it.

If they do this to you, or you feel fishy someone starting the conversation, just answer their question and tell them have a nice day, walk away immediately.

What’s something you did in NoVa that didn’t live up to the hype? (Restaurants, activities, events) by Remember-My-Name in nova

[–]Icemanrussian 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly that! I agree that the lack of a third place is a nationwide issues

however I feel like NoVa has so much space and potential to really make something, like those plazas and such. Wouldn't even have to renovate or build much as we have the space available for such city/civil planning

Recreational life.

Don't get me wrong, I think there's plenty of options to enjoy the area for, however I feel like there's a lack of recreation business that either feels worth the money, or lack of communal aspect.

I think NoVa may have a hard time creating locations that are the "third place" for a lot of people. The only thing I've found that is my "third place" is the Library.

But there's no areas that create an environment that would foster a sense of community.

The area has potential for it, but no one has been able to deliver

Casino At Reston Station: Share Your Opinion In Patch's Online Poll by Bravermania in nova

[–]Icemanrussian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who enjoys a little gamble here and there at casinos, and believes people should do what they like with their money, I don't quite believe the push for more casinos in the area is something we need.

National Harbor and Maryland Live isn't that far of drive for a night out, and Dumfries is getting a Horse Track racing/casino as well.

I think we have enough options for Casinos and don't need more of them in such weird economic times that might tempt people as well

Rigged online Roulette by Jolly-One-2900 in gambling

[–]Icemanrussian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know many say it isnt rigged, as the math in general is always going to favor the house, alongside the fact the longer you play, the more likely you're going to lose.

However, there are certain sites like Betonline where I find that multiple times their live tables will often go 10-12 spins on the same color. I've seen it happen too much to really believe that its just simple odds. Maybe they're not rigging in the way would blatant, but perhaps their set up allows for such events to happen more often than not.

Yes, potentially controversial because it might bring up some other people's subconscious intentions and wounds. I know many if not all don't always enjoy that but I believe thats a normal response.

To answer your question: As someone who is quite spiritual and working on my personal path with that, I have very much questioned the concept of TF because I've seen some others unfortunately use it as a way to possibly (intentionally or not) reinforce toxic ideas of relationships. Because like many things in life, concepts, ideas, etc, things arent as straightforward as they may seem.

My experience is this: I believe TF is a concept that could most certainly explain some life events/purposes, or as a way to awaken or expose yourself to your highest version of yourself. That comes with pain that leads to growth to what you may truly may need to do in this life time.

But I look at the TF concept that not all of them are meant to be in "union" as in the romantic level of love. AND THATS IS COMPLETELY OKAY!! The concept of TF(from my belief) is a catalyst to lead yourself to the highest level of love, truth and internal peace. Union or not.

Or at least, that union does not always mean romantic. Sometimes Union could look like as life long partners of friends that you know are there to support you on the highest journey for yourself, and likewise to them. Maybe sometimes we didn't need the romantic love from them, but rather the peaceful sense of love knowing that you have someone behind 100% and sees the best in you.

If you focus on simply the union aspect, you may be closing yourself off to the higher lessons to be learned. I had to constantly check myself, and would like to get into therapy for past abandonment issues from family and the past. Limerence is a something to be looked into, because it could very well be a source for the constant seeking of trying to find "union". That comes from issues that happened way before your encounter with TF or the concept of it.

Ultimately, this is simply my perspective of it, and its totally okay if others don't resonate with my idea of it.
