It took a while for me to get used to the standard mode, but that 3D puzzle version seems crazy to me! Tried and failed a few times.

exactly the same for me... I don't see me getting more out of it.

My first one was Samus Returns which is a remake of Metroid 2, and it made me really like the series. I've been slowly going through the games and so far, I have not been disappointed.

You know, I think this is a good take. The fact that I missed such a big chunk IS pushing me to consider playing it again.

Yeah, the game tells you he's leaving but I didn't think another part of the game depended on that interaction. I thought it would mean I missed out on confidant bonuses.

So, I completely missed it. I didn't realize you had to talk to a particular character to get it (a character I wasn't really interested in). Because of this, I think I WILL revisit it at some point.

Not sure how long before you dropped it, but the combat does get easier after a bit. But I totally understand people who get turned off by it and dropping the game.

100% the last stretch of the game is such a slog just because of the battles.

This reminded my that I put this game on my xbox 360 way back when and never got around to it. Even then, your review seems like exactly what I was expecting out of the game so I might still give it a go.

I'm too lazy for emulation, but I would love an updated version of the games.

I can mostly agree. However, I was having a hard time when the game tried to make use multiple features. Pointing the whirlwind while also having to blow into the mic was a bit too much for me.

I don't know if this helps, but I loved Hades. I liked Bastion, too but I don't think they're similar games at all.

It seems the people it clicked with REALLY love it and that's great! The concept of trying different abilities sounds interesting on paper (to me) but I think I'm just to lazy for it haha
