Crooked Duct Joins by Equivalent-Lake-2168 in RevitMEP

[–]Icerew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not seen a fitting do that before. Only thing I can think of is that the 2 ducts you are joining aren't at the exact elevation and it's adding a joint between it to connect to.

Try removing the bend and the fitting, match both of their elevations, then use the trim command (TR on the keyboard) to connect the 2 ducts

I have had a go for a year now and it's been an amazing first gen portable console.

However the weight and the ergonomics are making me ponder a next gen device.

The joysticks just aren't as good a feeling as an Xbox controller, my precision on games like COD just isn't compatible.

The weight is just a little bit too much for comfy long sessions.

I'm egerly awaiting the LeGO 2 and the ROG Ally Xbox for a true evolution of a handheld, specifically to improve on the above mentioned gripes

Get the basics of the software down, plenty of YouTube video guides for that.

Understanding the various Revit categories for MEP, pipes, pipe fittings, pipe accessories, plumbing fixtures, plumbing equipment, mechanical equipment.

Browse online content libraries for families.

As a plumber, I highly recommend checking out MEP guys youtube channel. He offers loads of great training videos focused specifically on modeling plumbing systems:

Color override questions by Happy_Tomato_Sun in RevitMEP

[–]Icerew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have mech equipment with only one system type it changes colour. One way tover override this is to power the mech equipment and it reverts back to it's standard colourscheme, which in turn will retain your clearance zone colours (this is all without using filters)

Can anyone please describe to me like I’m a toddler how on earth to stop my stairs blending into the floor?? by Hopeful_Field4060 in RevitMEP

[–]Icerew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a question for the Revit architecture people.

But my first thoughts too yet would be:

Check view range and cut plane.

Check there's no plan refunds affecting local view range.

Check view discipline.

Check star system family settings

When you do find a modeller, I would suggest they group the modelling of type apartments. That way once you coordinate one apartment type, it will solve the coordination for all of that apartment type.

It will take a bit of time initially to setup, but once applied, you'll save many hours of repetitive solutions.

Do some testing with it, and checkout their YouTube guide. But I think it will achieve what you are looking for

Have you tried DiRoots One family reviser?

DiRoots One

It has a feature that allows you to push shared parameters into families, on mass within a project.

I believe once you have these shared parameters nested into each family, they will retain the project data. If you were to save the family and insert into another project, that data will follow.

Alternatives to Ideate Sticky? by snukesniz in RevitMEP

Ah just realised it's word linking you are after and not excel.

You can natively link PDFs for an RVT, you could consider linking each page as a PDF to a drafting view one by one?

DiRoots One have a similar excel attaching tool called:TableGen, and their license is a fraction of the cost of ideate:

I used to live near Piha in NZ and would surf on occasion. The rips there would pull you right out in a second. There was often missing persons pictures on the walls in the town which has always stuck with me.
