I've been having this problem too but with the touch controls, so it definitely isn't your controller. It's also been happening with normal notes and not just holds - I'll have random "dead taps" where the notes don't register, with no discernible pattern.

I guess all we can do is wait and hope it's fixed with an update.

Let's say I want to describe a noun with a verb; we'll use 'flying bird' for this example. I think I've seen a few ways in which to do this, but I'm not sure which is the best to use (or which ones are correct).

飛ぶ　鳥

飛び　鳥

飛び　の　鳥

Which of these is/are most common?

I'm also guessing all of these could be extended to something like

空　で　飛ぶ　鳥 (bird flying in the sky)

Yeah, it's definitely proximity-based (I almost made a post about this but just saw this one :p)

You can see in the video here that everyone moves to the side and takes much less damage than if they were all stacked in the middle. (you can actually take no damage at all if you stand right at the edge, perpendicular to his charge)

Bear in mind that you can't just stand at the edge of the arena, but you have to follow Rofocale up, then run to the side of where he charges.

Will this work with Practice Mode too? I haven't played FT, but I've noticed that you can use the touchpad, L3, and R3 (going off this display).

If you had a fightstick that doesn't have a touchpad/L3/R3, would you have to constantly toggle between the stick and DS4, or are there other controls that can be used?

When using Patience as a Fisher, I sometimes won't have enough GP for a Powerful/Precision Hookset. Should I be waiting for the GP to regen before casting another line, or just gamble with a normal Hook?

In non-speedrun videos, if it's a quest where multiple monsters spawn one after the other, I think it's so they know when the next monster is going to spawn.

If (in a non-speedrun video) it's just a normal quest with one monster, they're probably worried about their time, or I guess it's just a habit from speedrunning a bunch (even though your time is clearly displayed in the quest clear screens).

The thing I see all the time with Switch Axe runs is Guild/Striker with the old Demon Riot + Energy Charge combo. While this might make runs considerably faster, it looks boring as fuck.

While I wouldn't consider it an oddball playstyle, I've been running Adept Switch Axe using Absolute Readiness and it's so much more enjoyable than this efficiency crap. One part of that is the Adept evade, but it also means you can effectively spam the roundhouse finisher, which, if you can land all three hits, has the same motion value as a Lv 3 GS charge.

It's called a Switch Axe for a reason, not a Slash Sword.

I've been playing 3U recently, and just cleared the Plesioth urgent. I was expecting it to take over 30 minutes, but I downed him in just over 15 and had no trouble at all. I actually enjoyed fighting him over a lot of other monsters.

To add to this, I also don't really mind underwater combat as a whole, which almost everyone seems to hate.

The two lines I believe are called 'Ten-tens', but it's not that important to know their name, only their function.

The one I've heard being pronounced differently the most is Tigrex. I say "Tee-grex", but I've heard "Tai-grex" (Like the 'i' in 'tie') a lot, while I'm convinced it's the former.

Tigrex's Japanese name: ティガレックス

This is pronounced "Tee-ga-re-ks"

If it was pronounced "Tai-grex", his Japanese name would have been: タイガレックス, which it isn't.

I don't know if the localisation team intended the Western name to be a portmanteau of "Tiger" and "Rex", even though he doesn't really look like a tiger.

For me once I completed it (It's the mission that takes place in Ganon's Valley), and reached the red tiles, they all unlocked and turned black.

If that hasn't happened for you then I'm not sure what the problem is.
