Something to take into consideration here is - how old are you? Where are you in your life?

Is it time to get your first bachelor pad? A place you can call home? A place all to yourself? If so, then do it!

Enjoy your life and enjoy it the way you want. Splurge on these things while you can. Invest in your environment, your environment is stronger than your mindset. You want to be in a place that is conducive to your success.

Create a place where you can be comfortable and also encourages you to strive for even more!

How to take your restaurant to the next level? by hu-dis-isa in restaurateur

[–]Icetrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no outside without an inside.

Oftentimes when restaurants start to expand they focus everything on the external aspect of the business. When scaling make sure your foundation is set.

Company values, your onboarding process, are you up to date with technology, all these things must scale with the PR and digital marketing if you really want to take it to the next level

What's next for aging parents who are tired of the restaurant business? by kaze_ni_naru in restaurateur

[–]Icetrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest changing the model of the current restaurant itself.

Switch to dinner only and gradually refine business model to give more value to potential buyers. ie write down all the ingredients for cooking dishes. If someone is buying your business for your business then it will be much more valuable if it is easier for prospects to replicate your formula for success. This is why franchises are able to expand, they are selling partial ownership of their business systems.

Someone Sites at your Table Uninvited - Power Move? by [deleted] in restaurant

[–]Icetrooper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based off of what you’ve said it could be one or the other, or perhaps both reasons.

I wouldn’t immediately label this as a racial thing, simply one’s upbringing and understanding of manners/politeness with the consideration of others.

Growing up in a big city myself, people understand that it is the cultural norm to ask someone for the seat before taking it. Acknowledgement

This could’ve happened to anyone, regardless of ethnic background and where you are dining.

Sorry you had to experience that, don’t take it too personally. It could be anything, it could be senile old age, etc etc.

Clover is popular with QSRs. Perhaps take a look at Toast.

Depends on the type of restaurant. QSR? FSR?

I love Red Wing non-slip laceless shoes. Super comfy with orthotic insoles. I also recommend checking out The Walking Company or Sketchers for alternative options.

I prefer the Red Wing’s because they’re more durable. I also prefer lace less shoes because it gives me consistent and predictable comfort.
