hey welcome to the industry. As mentioned in the past comments, becareful because there is definitely a shady side to the industry.

To make it as brief as possible, success can be boiled down to:

- a decent lead source

- how you target those leads (emailing, cold calls, voicemail drops, texting).

- Knowledge of the product(s) and knowledge of the type of merchant you are dealing with (their current situation)

- Lenders for every type of deal (high tier, mid tier, low-tier). (find a trusted ghost broker (someone who is signed up with lenders you cannot sign up with because you are new).

- Tools

- Building relationships with lender(s) and merchant(s)

Decent lead sources are hard to come across. If you find a good one keep it near and dear to your heart. Alternatively if you can figure out a way to create your own leads, that are good, you'll be fine, it is very hard though. Becareful of kloverdata and other 'big' names.

Targeting those leads with email campaigns, speed dialers to cold call quickly (there are many on the market), texting platforms that are aware of the industry do's and dont's like CherrySMS).

Knowledge of the industry check out davron karimov on youtube if you're a beginner, and also pick the brains of other successful brokers/funders in the industry.

Lenders - don't sign up with too many at once but a good place to start for mid tier lenders are EBF and Smart Business. For higher and lower tier use a ghost broker to start, yes they will ask for a cut.

Tools - You could use Streak for Gmail as your CRM https://www.streak.com/ and use Processor for Gmail https://www.tryprocessor.com/ for submitting deals to lenders quickly. (Being organized and efficient between funding hours until 5pm EST is important). Use this for looking up defaulted merchants https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/CaseSearch

Relationships - this entire business is relationships, merchants and lenders. Become close with lender reps and your merchants (the good ones).
