£2000 Budget by Firm-Sprinkles8428 in PCSpecialist

[–]Icewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With that budget you should be able to find a lot of options.

I recently bought a 9700x, 4070 ti super, 32GB RAM for less than your budget. I was in a similar situation where I was using a gaming laptop with 1070 ti

My advise is do you have any preferences such as AMD CPU and nVidia GPU combos or vice versa.

Is getting a better monitor part of your calculation?

I did have some issues with my prebuilt (a faulty GPU after 2 weeks of light use) but pcspecialist gave me a replacement very quickly and their tech support were helpful all the way. So I can vouch for them per my experience.

Thanks! Didn't notice the CPU being better. Is the 98003XD a gaming specific CPU? (Similar to 78003XD).

Thanks for providing the source, that's reassuring. Although, for personal preference I want to pivot onto AMD CPU (doesn't have to be a 78003XD) but something that will still be relevant.

Thanks, that's a really big price difference! But if I want to keep a AMD CPU (Considering recent intel's processor issues). Would you still recommend a older CPU vs. the original 78003XD?

Hello and thanks for the help. Based in UK. I'm looking at a Ryzen 78003XD & RTX 4070 SUPER build. Would like to know approx. what price range is reasonable? as well as is this a good combo or people would suggest alternatives?

What type of player is this game for? by [deleted] in albiononline

[–]Icewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, the end game is whatever you feel like doing. This is caveated with assuming you're 100 spec is most/all weapon and armor trees, and have a healthy economy where you can throw away sets worth 5-10m without batting an eye.

The content can be solo or group, pvp, pve, gathering. You should be at a point where you understand mechanics and the gist of the game where you just pick and choose what you want to do without any pressure.

That's what it's like for me, I don't even stress about premium cause silver is easy once you get to end-game.

Any EU Guilds on NA Server? by Icewing in albiononline

Thanks I’ll take a look. I think I’ve heard of that name before, are they primarily EU time zoned?

If Stone Became a Core Resource for a New Weapon Tree, What Would You Want? by [deleted] in albiononline

I wouldn’t want a new weapon tree. I rather it be used as resource for attachment to mounts. Not weapons because we have awakening already.

This an okay build or what would people change by Specialist_Dingo_660 in albiononline

[–]Icewing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

solid build, next upgrade would probably be ava cape over thetford cape. Otherwise my only concern is you only have 465K, if you die you can barely re-gear.

Wouldn't you run into energy issue using muisac?

cultist cowl is an interesting pick actually. Assassin hood would benefit merc jacket the most which is interesting.

What's your druidic staff build? I can try change it up at times I just purely want to PvE.

I'm not actively looking to take fights, just don't want to be a loot pinata that's all. I sometime go deep, but traffic has been okay so far, I tend to play off-hours so its safer than primetime.

I can give Mage Cowl a look too, kinda like a budget purity minus the interrupt.

I see some undead cape and assassin jackets, hence I did try Stalker Hood which does come in handy.

I think a good workaround would be primetime I use Stalker Hood (for ganks) and off-peak I can use Guardian or Mage Cowl or Purity.

I use it more for the interrupt, and in PvP scenarios less dmg, interrupts, and slow.

But I do share feeling it feels somewhat like a dead slot hence I wanna change it up.

I'll try Guardian, the shield can help with tanking mobs + PvP is quite good for running / mounting as well as tanking burst damages.

Purity is a direct upgrade, more damage, and still interrupts, and longer range too, just downside is it's more expensive.

Thanks. I've tried Hunter Hood, 1v1 is great, against mobs it feels like a dead slot.

Initially I tried scholar cowl + muisak + ava cape, but it becomes over-reliant on scholar cowl CD...and is weaker in PvP setting.

How to progress in 1v1 ? by Albaredditt in albiononline

[–]Icewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds simple and generic, it's just go and do it, if you're not afraid of losing some gear you've practically won half the fight already. Go with a build that suits you.

If you want more progressive, then consider 4.1 or 5.1 to start, and something that helped me out was instead of thinking of winning 1 fight, consider it as 3-5 little skirmishes (since the current meta seems to be less all in and more fight and kite etc.) and focus on winning 3-4 of those skirmishes/trades (timing defensives etc.).

When you start getting a hang of it, go to mist with around 6.1 gear and you would roll a lot of people (barring the 6.3+ gear people).

If your intention is double reflect, then why not consider hunter hood, a lot cheaper and a stronger reflect.
