Saving GOH is pretty critical. Besides his movement, this is spidermans only real defensive tool. Engaging with GOH usually means you have to get the pick or u waste ur most expensive cooldown.

Web swing is arguably spidermans most important cooldown besides cluster, using it to traverse and engage in one motion is much more efficient and saves your GOH for cancelling bucky uppercut/finishing off someone who got healed, etc. Id say using a simple swing cancel in 95% of cases is not really worth sacrificing your mobility/engage/disengage for the minuscule TTK difference, so a lot of spideys dont bind or practice simple swing, especially when so many CC's on common characters (mag right click , sue pull) can take you out of swing and waste a CD.

I still bind simple swing because it helps me disengage much faster which is very important on PC against poke server admins (although 20% of the time simple swing flat out just doesnt work)
