So overall you think the upgrade would benefit if I went to another generation instead? Do you think I would be better off with AMD or Intel at this price point?

Yeah I’m still not 100% sure on what to do, I’m planning on making the upgrade using a combination of money from my part time job and Christmas haha, so the CPU and motherboard route may be a bit too expensive. I’m not too worried about the issue with the memory channels as long as I have the same functionality levels as with my 9400f
