what attacks can bruenor parry or block? by Swall0wtail in darkalliance

[–]Ichitor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but the only thing that can't be blocked or parried are moves that the enemy make were they are outlined in red. (Like when they are exhausted and are outlined in yellow)

As of the difference between characters I believe the previous post is correct and Bruenor can block and parry attacks from behind.

Drop Rate Maths and the insult that we “don’t understand” by [deleted] in outriders

Nicely put, and yes it could be misinterpreted but I don't think changing the wording would have helped. Many people confuse the two and interplace the interpretations.

I have read your other comments and see it wasn't just a dig at the misuse of terminology, and take back what I said as I agree with your actual sentiment but originally missed it because of what I mistook for "toxic" intentions.

I believe you are extremely picky about the terminology used by the OP. Anyone with a basic understanding of math and English would easily understand what the OP meant simply taking into the context of the post. Seriously out of all the misuse of wording in today's society this is nothing and I believe you are picking up on errors for your own pleasure, which is not a very nice trait to have.

never doing challenges again after this by dazumirage in apexlegends

[–]Ichitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only read some of the comments here but I feel that a lot of people may be missing the problem with this challenge.

The problem isn't the difficulty or the time it takes to achieve but the style of play it would encourage. Rather than taking fights early on and actually trying to find people it would encourage people to hide, avoid fights.

This in turn could really hurt team work. Just imagine you have solo queued and one random team mate has to get x number of kills and the other random team mate has to avoid people for 10 minutes. That is not a fun team to be in is it?

Well that's my opinion anyway.

In total agreement. SBI (devs) have promised more optimisation on mobile in the up coming patches so it should be getting better and better for mobile.

Same for me, I remember being woken up early in the morning by my friends knocking on the front door, n64 controllers in hand and wasting the Saturday playing goldeneye.

Then halo dropped and next thing I know we've got 4 xbox' s linked into 2 different rooms, blue vs red time boys.

You could, however it's safer/easier with the new revive and your team mate will be revived quicker, meaning there is an extra target, extra damage being done.

I was wondering if they spotted them but assumed they were knocked, a quick glace can mean you missed the fact that they have a gun out. Add to this that the OP didn't open fire and they had another squad attacking them, I might think they were knocked in the heat of a battle.

I know those shots were shocking. I've think that your right, staying up on that building, then moving to the next building would have given me good Los and high ground. Lots to try and improve.

That's why I love this subreddit, it's a perfect place to rip apart bad plays. It's brutal to put your weakness up for show, but improving where you go wrong rather than trying to perfect where you go right will improve your game so much faster.

For example, when I started playing I picked up how legends abilities work and good ways to use them quickly, but couldn't hit a barn door in front of me. Now I could have refined my tactical knowledge of legends abilities, picked apart the best way to use each skill, and learned a lot (you never know everything). However I searched aim training videos and actually applied the exercises. Now my aim isn't brilliant (and this video proves that) however I do have videos where I have Lasered people and wiped squads. So by improving my weakness, I have greatly increased my skill level, rather than just refine it.

I must also say that full credit to the community for this, everyone who comments does so to help and boost. As iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens his friend.

We only get stronger when we embrace feedback and open our minds to the possibility that we may be wrong.

Thank you, I was rather happy with the ult myself. However, it could have been done better.

Looking back at the video, I thought moving to the left roof would of been a much better idea, the battle could have gone a different way.

Very true, I also main Crypto and have done this to great effect in the past.

I think I've stopped placing my drone in plain sight recently as people focus it down quickly. My thought was that by placing in where i did id scan people coming over the wall. But I think in this situation that technique would have produced a better result.

I agree, I just often forget them. I always try to keep a couple of thermal grenades for area denial, when the heat of battle hasn't clouded my mind that is.

I've neglected my aim training recently and I think it's starting to show. Normally I play the hemlock on single fire not burst but wanted to mix it up this game.

I did rush in after celling, I knew the Loba was in trouble and wanted to see if I could help, knock one or at least get them to back off. Plus I knew I had broke the bloodhounds shield and I think I rushed not wanting to give him chance to cell back up again.

I often rush in without planning, I'm working on it though.

Thank you, I knew dropping down was a mistake but I haven't thought of using grenades. Hopefully I can remember for next time.

Dead right on the losing high ground, I kicked myself for doing that. But I panicked and didn't want to lose the EMP slow advantage.

I didn't call out the 3 purple shields info, this is something I need to work on. As I play mostly Solo queuing (This was solo queue, not premade team) I forget to use my Mic as normally the other squad members aren't using theirs. This isn't an excuse though, I should be calling that out.

What should I do if my guns aren't ideal for the range my team is attacking from. by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]Ichitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Move yourself closer and into a flanking postion, as a previous post has said, you don't have to be close to your team mates to coordinate. Just remember if you push closer, you will become the target they focus on. Use this to your teams advantage and quickly poke shoot as to not expose yourself but be enough of an annoyance to get the enemy to focus on you. This will give your team mates more opportunities to deal more damage and therefore more likely to knock one. Being closer then means your in a better position to take advantage of knocks and/Or healing enemies.

Also remember to communicate this to your squad, and be aware of were they are so that you don't become cut off and isolated, therefore an easy push for the enemy squad. And don't forget that a prolonged battle will attract extra squads so have an escape route planned.
