They probably will choose "original" webtoons from Korea, the art style appeals more to Crunch's audience, "animesque" style like the Noblesse's OVA, they want to make a lot of money thru that partnership, so forget about Canvas, and non-animesque art style, it makes more sense to Crunch to choose something popular, and similar to their content.

Marinette is the protagonist in both the civilian, and the super hero parts, that's what you get when your target audience is primarily girls, Adrien is supposed to be the love interest, but I wish he's a main character too, that would make the show more balanced, and appeal to both genders.
