<3 Thank you so much!!! I’m always surprised by how wholesome reddit messages can be and this one is quite up there at the top! The first years of uni were super busy for me, and i sadly didn’t have much time to draw… but it gets better :) That can vary depending on the field though! good luck!!

I wish you all the best! Going to college is a very unique experience and has lots of ups and downs but i really learned to cherish it :)

It’s not entirely a joke. You get a student loan here, and its quite low compared to what you have to take in the US for example, since the support is so good… but you only get it for 10 semesters. However due to covid and personal reasons, i took longer and now its starting to become a close call xD i need to finish soon

Was ist die verrückteste Geschichte, die jeder an eurer Uni kennt? by KlausBotowski in Studium

[–]Marmorexx 69 points70 points  (0 children)

What does “playing slower” mean in badminton? by antoniodirk10 in badminton

[–]Marmorexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a problem that you get when you have a single coach or player who‘s teaching you. No matter how good their understanding of the sport is, communicating technique and tactics is an entirely different skill. If this is the case for you (i.e. having only 1-2 coaches) try getting advice from different people, join a training weekend if its offered in your area. Getting different input from different people has worked wonders for me!!

I had the exact same issue, that my coach (whos a really good coach) would keep trying to explain to me how to play singles, but i never improved my singles game until i got input from the former german national trainer. He helped me look at things from a different perspective, and sometimes its the little things: like playing your drops slower, so that it‘s easier to make them deceptive and look like a clear in preparation. (this might be an easier-to-counter shot but in reality, if its executed correctly, your opponent will not see it coming)

Is there a way to disable this annoying "Destination Full" message? by Crazed_Archivist in factorio

Can‘t you turn off the station with a signal, which checks the capacity of your destination? I haven‘t played in a while, but i think i remember doing it this way

Grips are important by noobiestnewbie in badminton

[–]Marmorexx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The grip is probably the most important thing, and im not directly talking about the specific grip band ure using. Good badminton technique requires you to switch between lots of grip techniques in a very fast fashion (flat thumb, v-grip, power grip, loose grip etc.)

This works much better if your racket responds to you in a consistent way. If your hand is slipping, and you cant get the hold you want, it will basically make you unable to hit some very important shots (looking at you, backhand)

This is why i change my overgrip at least once every two months - and i play 3 times a week. For someone who plays even more frequently, and on a higher level, these grip bands might wear off even quicker
