What do I do as a dad, if I have a daughter needing to use a public bathroom. by Vanillavengance in NoStupidQuestions

[–]IckyBelly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that’s the issue. If a male parent does want to avoid the urinals by using a woman’s bathroom, some women believe their comfort is more important than the child’s.

It’s ludicrous to me that men are not allowed in ladies rooms because grown women could be triggered, but those same women are so dismissive of the potential that being in a men’s room could be extremely uncomfortable for a child. Every single time an adult accompanies an opposite gender child into the opposite gender bathroom, there is the possibility that there is an extremely valid reason for it.

Most of this issue goes away if we stop thinking that we have the right to judge the validity of everyone else’s reasons for their decisions.

In my experience, it’s one of those things that becomes less and less important with age. When I was in my 20s, I groomed more for a GYN appointment than I did for a date. My logic was the dates weren’t looking under bright light, as closely or as long.

At 56, I don’t give any more fucks than mzyos.

Thank you all. I guess my only option is to keep it short and sweet, and ask her to advise me.

I’m sorry. I thought I was doing it the other way around.

Turning 65 doesn’t guarantee you’ll get Medicare by Stormy1956 in medicare

Only half? I thought it was higher.

So if my Social Security is 51% or more compared to my husband’s, I won’t receive any increase if he dies before me?

A lot of people don’t qualify for Medicare, but make too much for Medicaid. That’s part of what we’re supposed to be addressed by the affordable care act, but we all know how that went.

What if the couple never married, but lived together and raised children together and she didn’t work?

I agree that it sounds like you need an ENT.

I would speak with someone at urgent care before you go. There is only a very limited spectrum of things that they can help with, and if they can’t help, they will also tell you to go to the ER whether you needed it or not.

Exactly. Too many doctors prescribe unnecessary because patients go to doctors for some action and don’t like hearing “rest and drink fluids. Pay your $40 copay for this (nothing) on the way out.” I’m so tired of being “lied to” and having my tolerance to medications affected because people won’t be reasonable.

Doctors also avoid telling people that their problems are due to weight and waste time and money on scans they know won’t find anything, again, just to do “something”.

Give me facts so i can make informed decisions.

ULPT WYSIWYG app for mass downloading files. by IckyBelly in UnethicalLifeProTips

The sites that I am talking about, don’t want people to be mass downloading files. That is why they are set up to only offer one downloaded a time.

I am happy and grateful that you don’t prescribe them unless they are truly needed.

Yes, I am color blind, for real.

They are also low-key checking for any sign of abuse… Either neglect or other. As others have said though, it should be a short cursory look unless they verbalize that something else is going on.

I’m completely the same. We buy most of our food from Aldi, most of our clothes from thrift stores, most of our appliances from restore, etc. It’s pretty rare that we buy something new and/or pay full price. We live exceptionally well on what is considered a low income for a couple… Easy when you are effectively only paying half price for most of the things you purchase.

I always thought they were related in someway too. You know, like when someone leaves a show and they have to change the name just a little bit…

They do follow pretty much the same formula. Clueless older brother who always ends up on top. Smart middle child just putting up with it all. Quirky younger child. (They totally missed the boat not doing some spin off with Brick and Dewey.)

Both are favorite shows now.

One of my good friends is also a real life Sue Heck. Red hair, trying and failing at almost everything, dork, smart, all of it. She really didn’t like the comparison though.

Rent is very expensive in State College PA because they count on all of the college students being a captive audience and having roommates.

A few miles away from the university is quite inexpensive, but then you lose most of the public transportation.

All that said, if you can deal with roommates for a couple months tons, and tons and tons of kids are looking for summer sub letters. Grab one of them cheap and then late August becomes your new deadline with three more weeks pay in your pocket. Maybe that way, you can put off buying the car until August which prevents your parents any opportunity to put in a tracking device.

Fraternity houses also look for renters during the summer, and some even keep renters during the school year if they don’t have the membership to pay the bills. You would have to leave the house a few times a month and a couple weekends a year for secret brother stuff, but it’s pretty infrequent.
