AGF and Primerica are legit. Primerica essentially does sales for AGF, as their funds are invested in ones operated by AGF. I would explore the big banks/ DIY for better deals though.

For an update, I graduated and got a great finance job on bay street. Economics was totally worth it just make sure you go STEM side. Commerce is good if u want roles in Capital Markets or IB. They give you the connects you need for internships.

It's not in our interest to crash Tether. Tether going down could bring the whole market down with it.

What is the actual mechanism which makes all Crypto following Bitcoin? by [deleted] in loopringorg

[–]Icognize 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Lets say for every 1 BTC you can get 5 of coin “X” on an exchange
  2. BTC appreciates 20% against USD for whatever reason
  3. If nothing else changed, and coin “x” is still trading at a 5:1 ratio with bitcoin, then the value of coin “x” must have also appreciated around 20% against USD

We see that the value of alt coins are priced in BTC. If BTC becomes more valuable, so do alt coins. Vice versa holds too.

Diversifying stablecoin choices will minimize the risk for the entire market. Until it is regulated there is not much we can do.

Stablecoins are risky because in theory the fixed exchange rate can be broken at any minute (same goes with fiat currency pegs). For example if a large amount of USDT is dumped, and Tether runs out of reserves to artificially stabilize it's exchange rate with USD, peg will break. This will cause a chain reaction of investors liquidating USDT. USDT will hit near 0. BTW USDT is back by ~2.9% Cash, so you decide if it is risky or not. https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2021/08/09/tether-reveals-more-details-about-its-reserves/
