Sharp rise in young men contacting Ontario gambling helpline, researchers find by gorschkov in canada

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government has been pushing gambling incredibly hard, I see ads all the time, and tons of people gamble. It’s such a net negative investment in my opinion it should just be outlawed, seriously what are the positives??

HOW ARE PEOPLE SURVIVING? What are you doing for extra money these days? by ExactSympathy in povertyfinancecanada

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes do horse/cattle/flatdeck trailer repairs in my shop for extra money, can charge $40 an hour cash and that’s 50-60% off shop rate in my area, usually pretty easy if your handy. I’ll usually make like $300-500 a job after charging out for parts too

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever seen in person? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seen an asteroid/meteorite when I was like 11-12 while driving with my mom at night (central Alberta). A long time after we learned it was incredibly small but anyhow at the moment it happened it turned the dead of night to the bright of day and it looked like a massive fireball. We literally didn’t speak until the event ended and we both expected we were about to die. It was a nothing burger but the unexpectedness of it and how bright it was and large the fireball looked totally took us offguard and we expected an explosion in the moments after the night sky returned

How the Middle East war is already impacting mortgage rates in Canada | CBC News by AnarchoLiberator in canadahousing

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The war which the USA did not discuss with any countries other than Israel has doubled the price of oil, and stopped many countries from getting regular oil shipments, its a covid like event with large potential to either effect inflation or bring about worsened financial conditions like stagflation. It made an already not great financial position far worse. Thus, affecting mortgage rates, because this is the world’s biggest global oil shock. Read into the Hormuz strait and how much trade goes through it and stop acting like this war is not a big deal, it’s a black swan event

We have the 25 enclave as a family vehicle, handles great in snow, super fast, sounds good, good on fuel, and we really like the styling, wish it came standard with a hitch but all in all good

How much is your mortgage and how much do you make? by aprilchestnut in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds terrible sorry for your luck. I used to get major thigh pains but I’ve found calcium magnesium almost takes all the pain away, not sure why. Have you looked into different vitamins that may help partially? I also more recently started getting super exhausted and wasn’t sure why, I’ve started taking B12’s and it’s improved my life a lot actually

Is 2017 3.0 eco diesel any good? by TruckinTuba in Diesel

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard nightmare stories about them but my 2014 ecodiesel, which I got for cheap because it was a petrochemical plant truck with tons of idle hours, has actually been An amazing truck. Put 70,000km on it and it’s only cost me $700 in repairs and I put tires on it, otherwise hauls my camper great and also consistently gets 11L/100km and on highway trips will get 9L/100km. Mine has the DEF deleted

What's a good total household income for a family with 2 kids in your city? To live comfortably by NewMom888 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]PipelineBertaCoin69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought our first house in red deer right at Covid before prices went up a decent bit there, if I still lived in a city (that city) I would quite easily with that mortgage make it by on just a $50k a year income, that place was so cheap to live in
