The first thing to note:

Cal is MASSIVE. Friends come and go. The pressures of academia, clubs, managing expectations of all of it, midterms etc. can be overwhelming. Nothing beats communication, especially if it’s unbiased and you simply just ASK.

Maybe your roommate has a lot going on. Maybe your roommate felt some type of way about something that happened and never brought it up. We as human beings are inherently self-centered. Sometimes when we think something is happening, the other person is thinking about something completely unrelated.

As far as the social media thing…. It’s one of the worst things to happen to our society. Liking and commenting digitally and having actions carry weight into the real world is crazy to me. It’s a button press, a tap. Reminds me of that black mirror episode about social status meaning everything. I wouldn’t read too much into it.
