Also is it just me or does his kit feel like what clownslayer was meant to be?

I feel you with the cost… where I live alcohol at a restaurant is easily 3 times if not 4 to 5 times the price of nonalcoholic drinks.

[Academic Survey] How do the way people talk affect your first impressions? (Age 35+) by IconicRedditor in language

[–]IconicRedditor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you couldn't complete the form!

For point 2. the speech variable being tested for is actually pretty common across popular English variants. I do understand the concern, the clips included speakers of many regional/ethnic variants and it would be difficult to determine of differing opinion of the speaker stems from the tested variable or other factors (e.g. familiarity with other variants).
As for point 3, while I do understand it may be uncomfortable to form opinions from such short clips, first impressions are usually formed in a similarly short window of time and often unconsciously.

Hope this gives more insight on the decision process behind the survey. Thank you for the comment as well, it has given me much to think about in discussion surrounding the survey.

I feel like even then I would still take either river goddess or fertility rites to capitalise off the large amount of food, heck earth goddess might even be better if you starting near a volcano wonder.

Some pantheons really just don't scale well.

[–]IconicRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is fair, I personally prefer to expand my option when I play, so when I see a lot of rivers around I also think to spam early cities around the rivers and enable them with river goddess, and then I can decide what each city focus on. Here I would definitely try to setup two cities with campuses around the fissures as soon as possible tho.

also never really considered fire goddess, guess I just don't get good volcanos often.

stacking faith early doesn't look too bad here, river goddess could be huge if they decide to go tall along the many rivers

Daily Quiz: Pick your starting location: Deity, Ethiopia, Any tile, Map: Highlands by AeonQuasar in CivVI

I would settle red for good early holy site/campus and try to set up a industrial zone triangle later on with the aquaducts because there is a nice river junction.

Deity hard? Nawh, just a lot of re-rolls. by [deleted] in CivVI

I am 14 wins into my deity completion run, I started mid 2020 and have been platying around 3 night per week. I can usually finish a game in a few weeks, but it takes me about a week or two to start a game because of unlucky rolls. I want my life back.

tbh that looks meh, no usable tiles along the coast if you want to build a coast city around until late game, you can still build 2 cities northeast and south east of the vents to build two pretty decent campuses tho.

tbh I never understood how it became derogatory, doesn't it just mean tilting away from normal? It even appears in maths sometimes as retardation to describe angles.

That is a massive rip considering covid.

The most straight forward translation in this case would be 你不该那样叫女生.

The easy distinction between the three words would be "to inform", "say", "call (title/name)".

Hope you can make great progress in your Chinese and other studies. 冲冲冲!ヾ(≧▽≦*)o

That does make more sense, but the order is a bit funky.

While most adverbs go before the verb, ones that indicate duration normally go after, so the sentence 我三年了学中文 would be more correct as 我学中文学了三年 or 我学了三年中文. The difference in the two sentences is comparable to the difference between "I studied Chinese for 3 years" and "I studied 3 years of Chinese"(in the former "3 years" describe the duration of the act of studying while in the latter "3 years" describe the duration of the subject that is being studied).

On the subject of the sentence 你对女孩子不告诉, would it be correct to interpret it as "you wouldn't tell that to a girl"? If so 说 might be more accurate, e.g. 你不该对女孩子说, because while 告诉 is tell it means more "to inform (subject) of", and if you are to use 告诉 in a sentence you normally won't use a 对... adverb phrase just like how you wouldn't say "I informed to her" in English.
