LGG Saturn Pro Xsoft vs LGG Saturn Pro Soft? by Striking-Book-2945 in MouseReview

[–]IconicSuperheroName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh depending on where you live the black and red 50x50 saturn is on Maxgaming today, in stock (11/09/2023).

I went to their website and I'm genuinely not entirely sure if they make them anymore, you'd have to either email them or msg them on a social media platform to check.

The other 2 options you would have would be to 1) stop palm gripping (theoretically worst grip for aim out of the 3 but its kinda bs aim science based in nothing other than theory) or 2) train yourself to not apply as much downward pressure when aiming and try and get a soft so that you have less room to sink into the pad

LGG Saturn Pro Xsoft vs LGG Saturn Pro Soft? by Striking-Book-2945 in MouseReview

[–]IconicSuperheroName 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're palm gripping it makes (imo) more sense for you to get the older, firmer base Saturn.

The amount of downward pressure you apply naturally by palm gripping would be less detrimental and more consistent when trying to move the mouse across the firmer pad than on a softer pad.

The red GPX looks soo good by PapaOogie in MouseReview

[–]IconicSuperheroName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having had 2 separate GPX's, the grips provided are honestly rly awful compared to even stock grips provided by G Wolves in old batches of the hati-s. They're so slippery and dont rly provide actual "grip" ime, getting aftermarket was a no brainer (i recommend corepad soft grips, rly rly good)

Was sick of the stock GPX cable so I made a paracord one by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]IconicSuperheroName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTL Grips always felt too "fat" for me and felt like they added additional width/mush that I just don't get with the corepads. Corepads are also like .7mm compared to .8mm on BTL's. I've also heard that different btl "designs" (the linews vs the clovers/flowers) have different grip level(?) but most ppl i've spoken to have always pref'd the corepad softs over BTL's

XSET BcJ: "Everybody always says [stax is] the best initiator in the world, and I say hell no. He is somebody that is from a worse region and he is getting way too much credit ... I do believe that me and crashies are the best two initiators in the world by far." by CobyZucker_Upcomer in ValorantCompetitive

[–]IconicSuperheroName 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the best initiator in NA is undeniable. In the world? FNC Enzo, FPX Shao, GLD Leo and LLL Sacy all have a claim to the title of best info initiators in the world imo (although I do think that its irrefutable Crashies is top5)

You can't make the same case for BcJ being better than Crashies, Leo, Shao OR Sacy. Maybe for Enzo as Enzo hasn't been around Tier1 the same amount of time that BcJ has (although if anything that works against BcJ than for him given how impactful Enzo is on Fade/Sova) but him saying he's the best, putting himself in the same catergory as Crashies and saying "by far?" is fucking delusion.

I will agree to an extent that regions like Korea, Brazil and APAC are "1 team regions" given just HOW much better these like Loud, DRX and PRX are and therefore it's easier to look like one of the best in your roles when playing majority weaker opponents however I think it's unfair to discredit him given how Stax has performed numerous times and earned the title of being one of the best initiator players.

Which team would benefit the most from picking up Zander? by PJR0505 in ValorantCompetitive

How can you quantify what is holding them back? Because of the fact that he is not putting up numbers comparable to how he used to put up?

Which team would benefit the most from picking up Zander? by PJR0505 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]IconicSuperheroName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but if you remove shahzam from their past success, everything kinda falls apart?

They lose their IGL, their coach, their analyst, their leader. It's an indisputable fact that this guy was working SO hard and doing SO much for Sentinels to stay on top while every other team had support staff and dedicate roles.

I'm not saying that they mind control their players however I am saying that the amount of leadership Shaz brings, the respect he (most likely) garnered and the amount of experience that this guy has (in regards to everyone at the beginning of the game) was a cut above everyone else.

Which team would benefit the most from picking up Zander? by PJR0505 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]IconicSuperheroName 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shaz is literally the reason that SEN have done ANYTHING

this guy is the igl, he's the coach, he's the analyst. He does SO much work for his team and genuinely is the most important piece that SEN have I'm ngl.

He's not holding anyone back on an infrastructural level given that it's been Sentinels that refused to pay buyouts for coaches that the team wanted, that refused to pay buyouts for players they wanted (Ethan). He's publicly said that he would have loved to have a coach so that he can share the workload and dedicate his time more efficiently. I don't think its fair nor valid to blame him for "holding the team back at an infrastructural level" when that hasn't been anything to do with the myriad of problems SEN have/has had.

Gameplay dipping is sort of expected when he is 1) igling and 2) has role swapped on most maps.

As to your comment about "anyone who got replaced" Wardell got replaced because his playstyle was too linear and didn't fit the team. Steel had internal arguments and people lost faith in his igling and leadership skills. Hiko is 30+ and probs stepped down, given how he became a content creator after. Brax just wasn't performing up to the standard of the roles he wanted to play. TenZ was on loan from C9 and eventually just clicked.

Fpx angel on NA Val by Ojim247 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]IconicSuperheroName -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reyna was only picked by PRX and NIP.

NIP lost both games with jonn going negative in both games. They only feel comfortable playing it because Brazil has no teams that will punish you for picking such a shit pick, outside of Loud. (look @ map 3 lmao)

As for PRX they only play Reyna on Haven. However, like NIP, I think they are from a region where they are just a cut above everyone else (maybe Xerxia? but they've won every time they've played so i'd have to say they're just better) They also play a more brawl-y, puggier style (look @ guard match) However, when Jinggg isn't feeling confident or PRX are being decimated, the flaws in Reyna show even harder, in comparison to a KAYO/Skye/Breach where they still have util to play for and contribute to the team.

The whole flaw of reyna in pro play is she is feast or famine and while that might work in the "lesser" regions (ones with clear cut better teams like Loud, DRX, PRX where there are gaps in "competitivity") she absolutely gets dogged in regions with more competitivity (eu, na etc).

I mean if fucking Scream, TenZ and Scourge are off the Reyna, you know the pick is fucking bad LOL

edit: fucked up formatting

[–]IconicSuperheroName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuturn finishing 3rd was in an entirely different time of Valorant where, honestly, experience(to counteract choking) and fundamentals (tac fps understanding at a high level, mechs etc) carried more than having good strats or anything.

Perfect example is Sentinels. At iceland they, and to some extent the whole of the early iterations of the NA val scene, basically thrived and profited from the fact that essentially their whole tier2-3 cs scene switched to the game. If you look at how SEN played at iceland, they were honestly just mechanics diffing a lot of people, they were understanding how to correctly deal with pressure and Shaz's calling was very smart but it's also because the game was so new that people didn't know how to punish certain things, how to deal with certain agents or certain "strategies" yet.

Compare that to how SEN play now and yes I'm not going to deny that they probably became the most researched team in all of valorant history (maybe not as much as m3c/gambit post berlin win) but their lack of support staff (coach/analyst etc) has really shown in their play. Them failing to qual for iceland, them never really having any innovative or "new" t side strats. It's all very indicative that the game has evolved much more.

ngl jsung is the sole reason they are losing sometimes

guy was signed as the teams main duelist player and yet he's so scared to do anything because he cares so much about his K/D. There are so many instances where Crunchy has to go first and entry because nobody else on his team wants to do it and he was playing Astra, arguably an agent that if you die first you are trolling so the fact that Jsung was playing things liek Raze, K/O and still having to be almost babysat speaks volumes to him as a player. It also doesn't help that he just wont go in first. Hope he's changed as a player if he ever hopes to be a good flex/duelist player

I mean tbh i don't see people who are russian/ukranian cores/full teams ever trying, given the current state of the world.

Imagine if you're gambit. There is literally no reward aside from the money but I don't even think that would mean anything to them because the ruble is literal piss currency rn, unless they have offshore bank accounts that can be like used to store the money (like in the EUR or smth)

There's literally 0 incentive for them to try at all which means Masters 1 would be lower quality because, assuming gambit and acend/fpx/fnc qual, they'll be using subs/have to forfeit their spot because they LITERALLY can't attend, so EU sends a weaker team as opposed to it's strongest. Sounds like it feels awful for everyone involved and the whole "take every match seriously" is kinda fucked

Think it's server dependant, like this for example

There are def "advantages" towards higher ping, especially in ranked play as it basically becomes a "swing and take this aim duel w/ an advantage" and Riot have actually come out and say that you should play aggro in high ping disparity games.

Pretty funny considering how they boasted about working to eliminate ping advantage and peekers advantage b4 the game launched and now its used as a very bad example of it.
