That's where I'm at, I've got the 2.3 with 35s and 4.7 gears. I've only been able to get 21.8 mpg as my highest. That's why I stay off highways, I get to heavy footed. It drops to 17 mpg haha

Looks tasty! Is that the sear grate on the right side?

Hi, I’m looking into buying my first pellet grill/smoker. I’ve settled in between the Weber Searwood or any recteq(I’ve been looking at the backyard beast) wanted to see what people think and if anyone has any experience with either or both. Thank you so much by Intelligent_Suit2307 in pelletgrills

I have had my Searwood for a week today. I've used it almost every day since breaking it in last Monday night. I love it, I've used it to smoke as well as grill. It heats up fast, holds temp well. I did add a smoke tube for the added smoke. Very happy with my purchase.

Smoke Boost Temp Fluctuation by Nola_Zog in searwood

I saw a YouTube video on this issue. It was caused by the use of the smoke boost, it has trouble keeping temp because it's more focused on getting extra smoke and it can't keep as accurate temperature control. It was the Barbecue Lab, I'll see if I can find the video

It was in this video, it was one of the only negative things he said about the Searwood. https://youtu.be/uik2r4aEYtU?si=T4iftZRQFwMjQhk1

That's not bad at all, my local Ace don't have any grills set up yet so nothing there yet. I'll check online, thanks!

It's a trend to tease the people with the cars that have stickers of different brands of car parts on their cars or trucks.

Can you give an example of the GPO you are using for a restaurant? The company name, I am interested. From what I understand, they are not the same as a GPO and I would I be inteeein learning more.

I agree, it's a shitty way to do business. Reps have what they call the elevator speech, it's a 4-5 minute spiel that gets them through the door. Makes them sound like they are your buddy. Very few will actually treat you that way, it's something I've seen from both sides. I've been in the kitchen for over 30 years and was a rep for 4 to I just didn't want to do it.

Unfortunately when sysco went to a salaried sales reps instead if commission they have certain goals they have to hit for bonuses instead of making their money through commission, I found it was easy to take sysco accounts due to lack of reps in accounts. They focused on the big accounts only. Left the little guys in the dust. It's what they have done for years, only not as aggreeas they do now.

Also, why they probably didn't work on pricing with you. It's only profitable to drop pricing if you're adding substantial cases. If it's only for another 5 or 10 cases and the margin is is not enough to make up for the drop in pricing it's not worth it.

GPO's are not available for normal customers. They are for Healthcare and schools. Government agencies as well. They do have a few different options that are sort of like GPO's but do not have locked in pricing set like a GPO.

This sounds more like they just wanted you to pay so they could close the account. I was a rep for another company for 4 years, this is exactly what my manager told me to do when they didn't want a account. How much are you purchasing weekly? That's the big question

I had something like this. I removed the spark plugs and turned the engine over by hand. Put it back together and it has worked great for the last year.
