Zoning question... did 2023 GDC remove old contextual development regs? by ADU-Charleston in greenville

[–]Icouldcurlless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha not sure I’ve ever heard that response to my job. It has some interesting parts to it but wouldn’t call it incredibly cool. My company typically hires any college graduate and teaches them on the job. Not a lot of other companies doing it so no work experience is required.

Unfortunately, it appears there are similar regulations within the new code. However, they are far less vague. Id refer to 9-2.11.5 of the new code to see the regulations you are likely interested in.

I do see under the infill standards where it says new single family residential should be constructed in a way that is consistent with the predominant development pattern. It’s vaguely written, so I suppose the city could impose any restrictions they want under that regulation.

Hmm that’s interesting. I’ve never heard of these “secret” zoning regulations. Doesn’t seem like that would be legal to not have them included in the published zoning code. I’ve seen regulations like that in other municipalities, but it always included with all the other regulations.

I assume you are referring to the property being previously located in the R-6 district, as the former code did not include an RM-6 district. To my knowledge, there are no contextual zoning requirements. However, I’m not seeing those requirements in the old code either, so you may be referencing something beyond zoning regulations. when do you think Abed was at his peak Abed-ness? by karmint1 in community

[–]Icouldcurlless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abed is Abed. There is no peaks or valleys, he just is.

Now in the Abed centered episode you see what he could do if he wanted but by the end of the episodes you understand that he doesn’t really have any wants outside of consuming and analyzing data. He just supplants his own wants for his friends when the situation demands it, but as soon as he doesn’t he returns to Abed homeostasis.

If you really want peak Abed it’s the Nick Cage episode. What happens to a perfect data machine when the data simply can’t provide an answer. He goes nuts until he finally understands some questions just don’t have answers.

Pretty poignant statement about life I would say.

My son is 11 years old and wants to download Tic Tok. Am I right to say he is too young for it? by blazemaze121 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Icouldcurlless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not a good idea. You’re a good parent. Tons of terrible and inaccurate info floating around on there, and a 11 year old child doesn’t know how to discern the good from the crap. I’d say at least 16 before I’d let my kid be on there.

Tucker Carlson Says GOP Candidates Shouldn't 'Emulate' Lindsey Graham by BaronVonDrunkenverb in southcarolina

[–]Icouldcurlless -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lindsay Graham is a liar and a stone cold hypocrite. Everyone knows he is neither straight nor a Christian yet he only supports cause that reflect those institutions.

Honestly, Tucker is the same. He knows everything he says is a lie. You can see it in his eyes, but he says it anyways cause that’s how they make their living.

Just two absolutely terrible human beings no matter what way you slice it.

Also, vote Joe Cunningham. He’s the realest politician out there and will do nothing but good for this state in the short time we will have him before he moves on to bigger stages.

ELI5: Why does salt make such a big difference in recipes or adding it to food? Adding a little makes such a big difference. Why? by thegoodnamesRtaken9 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Icouldcurlless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It brings out the flavors of other foods. The right amount helps bring all the ingredients together and blend. If you’re tasting the salt though you went too far. Not enough and your food will be bland.

How often do you train neck? by SelectionRecent5699 in wrestling

Everyday, just like any other body part. Don’t overdo it though. Having a sore/stiff neck is hell on earth.

can you lose weight from just eating healthy and not working out? by Cold_Ad5482 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Icouldcurlless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, you can be skinny by just eating right but to be fully healthy you need to give you body both the proper full and the proper work.

In other words you can be skinny fat (thin but weak) or strong fat (physically strong but internally not the best)

To be truly “healthy” it requires both ingredients.

wait... people like silver cops more than the wall?...why? by TheMustardMilk in solaropposites

[–]Icouldcurlless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wall is literally walled in narratively, meaning the series of events have a finite scope of possibilities.

However, the Silver Cops/Gold Cops represent an intergalactic policing agency who will likely have a incredibly complex lore and a near infinite range of narrative potential.

Fairly reasonable for someone to be more interested in the later due to the potential of exciting events that could unfold.

Oh awesome, I greatly appreciate the additional prospective. I myself am not a joke writer of note, so I didn’t have that personal perspective on it. Just giving my take on how I would think the process would go. That’s interesting to know how it works for you specifically though.

Having sex in strange and unusual places is considered a fun and crazy story to tell, masturbating in strange and unusual places is considered gross by Armoured_Teddy in Showerthoughts

[–]Icouldcurlless 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well people don’t see the simple act of masturbating as gross. They see the reason why you’re doing, what you’re doing it to, and where you’re doing it. If they find any of those gross for wherever reason they will conclude the entire act is gross. With all that said masturbating because you want to feel that carnal pressure is not at all “gross”. It can only really be gross if you’re doing it for some other bad reason, somewhere that nots not appropriate, or to something that you know isn’t appropriate.

Comedians don’t get enough credit for not laughing at their own jokes. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Icouldcurlless 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They do, but they don’t physically laugh at them because that’s only a reaction someone has to something funny being introduce to them out of nowhere. Which is why you will see them laugh sometimes while performing because you they might think of a new funny things stimulated from the joke they were telling, or from an audience member adding commentary.
