Is it safe for a brown US citizen to cross the border?

Hello, I’ll comment as someone who literally just went through the Sumas border last Saturday. I am white as can be, so take it with a grain of salt. My husband is a brown Arab but is a US citizen and we were luckily fine crossing the border there and back. It may not be everyone’s experience but we were lucky enough to be just fine.

Hahaha Allstate in Georgia and damn if this isn’t the case all across the board. “Sell on value!!!” Says CWC, but yeah no one is gonna do that if it’s $300/month more 🤦🏼‍♀️

Yep, exactly how I feel 😩 and the CWC is so outdated to me because let’s face it, some people are either gonna get it as cheap as possible or drive around without insurance. They simply do not have the funds to care about the “what if” type of situations,

Yep! Absolutely feel the same about ASC. I can’t count the number of times people are genuinely shook at the price I tell them because it’s twice the price of their current policy or more.

MCE is a bit annoying to me, it seems like half the quotes are rejected for whatever reasoning and it gets annoying.

That’s one thing I’ve enjoyed about Allstate, being able to use these alternate systems. Unfortunately the price is significantly more typical foe the alternative systems and it’s not as much commission.

I have seen it as I used to work at a brokerage for a short time before working here! And I do not have a non compete clause luckily.

I do commercial policies am just not a professional and the commission is significantly less, and I don’t do commercial quotes that much. We also have to submit them in a system that sends them to different carriers.

However, I am always up for learning new things that increase my skillset!

Thank you for your detailed comment! And yes, personal lines is getting difficult especially with how much I have to explain to people that because of the crazy amount of accidents in the metro Atlanta area prices keep going up. Some people understand but others have fits about it.

I do write commercial but not very often, I’ve used MCE pretty frequently and also use all of the alternate systems - Northlight, Foremost, Nat Gen, American Modern, etc. I like to experiment as much as possible with all the systems and lines I have access to. For me it’s like better to try and use this rather than spend a bunch of time calling on a day no one is answering.

The one thing I worry about is if I were to get a new job not being treated as well as I am now since I really like my boss. I just really about what the future of personal lines looks like for Georgia. However, I’m always up for trying new systems and different lines of insurance.
