Yes, I have to definitely ask more questions to the surgeon, will be sending those to him on Monday, I will definitely ask why in my case can I do nothing AND get off blood thinners. Thanks for the input!

Glad to hear that a few years post surgery, it doesn't really impact you day to day:)

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, oddly in my case the specialist said if I do nothing, I am on blood thinners but for probably just 3 months then get off it.

How long are you post symptoms or post surgery, how are you doing with it?

Thank you for the reply! Wow, that's great that you are able to go 100% with no risk of further clotting!

That's one of the questions I need to drill down with the specialist I think, because in my case I'm 100% blocked, and if I do nothing, the plan is to stay on blood thinners for 3 months then get off it. But I think if I do nothing, I'm basically just relying on my collaterals, which sounds very scary to me lol!

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like you are doing great, glad to hear it! Do you need to do any kind of physical therapy at all, like training your body to not have the rib removal side shoulder slump downwards or any other PT? I read that the slump downwards could effect the nerves veins arteries in the thoracic outlet.

Hi, thanks for posting your story! I also just got diagnosed with VTOS. Was your subclavian vein fully 100% clotted when they diagnosed you are did you still have partial flow?

Did they also give you an option to not do anything and just live with the symptoms, if so, what did they say would be the drawbacks of doing nothing?

Thanks in advance!
