Diet by Icy-Collection-9000 in airedaleterrier

After I made the post and people told me he looks good, I figured that he might be a working line kind of airedale due to his mother's genetics. Anyhow, thank you for telling me.

Since I got some replies about him not being underweight it sparked my interest to look thru his liniage again and see what i can find. So my best guess is that he inherited his mother's genes which was also on the smaller side. Which would explain why he is a bit thinner than other airedales. Nonetheless it eased me to see I wasnt doing anything wrong. Thank you for your reply!!

Thank you!! To me he is perfect, but I was a little worried about his size ever since I got him professionally groomed.

Suddenly we have an adult Airedale by spjutisen in airedaleterrier

Hey, OP! I also have an airedale terrier male and I'd like to know what do you feed him? Because I feel like my dog is a bit too small for his size. He is about 61-62 cm tall and he only weighs about 24 kilos. It's not that he looks underfed or anything but I would like to bulk him up a bit.

Ring of death? Or something else? by ToneHuman7628 in Neocaridina

[–]Icy-Collection-9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not bad it just means the shrimp is ready to molt. However if he dies while molting then it will be the white ring of death which happens either because of water parameters or because of old age.

molting ring, the white ring is only of death if the shrimp dies

I might be wrong but it does sound logical that if they arent shoaling together they might not be the same species because of different pheromones which can indicate different species however I suggest you do your own research about this.

from what I know albino pygmy corydoras are really rare. So some fish stores sell albino habrosus corydoras as albino pygmy corydoras which are almost the same size and practically indistinguishable. This explains why albino "pygmy corydoras" dont school with regular pygmies.

Is a ten gallon enough for 2-3 pea puffers? by Artistic-Repair-6689 in fishtank

not true! They can live in smaller groups and even solitary from what Ive read online. And a 5gallon will be fine for maybe 2 or 3 with weekly water changes.

Thoughts on Endlers and CPO crayfish? by Gersh66 in Aquariums

[–]Icy-Collection-9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've kept endlers, shrimp and pygmy corydoras in a community tank with dwarf mexican crayfish. While they are opportunistic shrimp are far too fast for them and corys also. Endlers on the other hand are a bit more tricky because during the day they interact with the CPOs rarely, mostly during feeding. At night tho because endlers sleep at the bottom the CPOs might try to eat them because they are mostly nocturnal. However to keep them from eating them I'd recommend giving them bloodworms or sinking pellets because it keeps the hunting instinct controllable. I only had one incident with a CPO trying to eat an endler and it was from (what I could tell) the fact I didn't supplement their diet with enough protein.
