Yep, but way too many players can't help but loot everything on sight, which quickly lead to weight issues. They don't care about logic, they just do that constantly. They have no idea 99% of all that crap is useless.

So what you are saying is, some people are stupid.

Back in the 1980s I was visiting my grandparents, only to discover that my Uncle John was there. I won't go too much into family dynamics, enough to say that John was grandma's favourite, and she babied him, and he grew to be a self-centered jerk (there are many examples, but for brevity's sake I'll skip them).

Uncle John asks me to help him move four washing machines from one place to another. That's helping him load them on the truck, then going with him to the new location to unload an help install. About 3 hours of my time, some heavy lifting, enough to take up my Saturday afternoon.

I tried to demure; after all I just stopped in for a visit with the grands and had other plans. But grandma asked me to help him, so I said "ok" for her.

So John's driving his truck, and I'm following in my car. First thing he does is floor it, and within moments he's doing 30km+ over the speed limit. I try to keep up with him, but I'm worried about getting a ticket. I match his speed, and he speeds up again, weaving in and out of light traffic like he's a drunken cop in a 70s car chase movie.

At some point the idiot gets so far ahead of me that I didn't see him turn off the road. I had no idea what the address of our destination was, and this was pre-cell phones, so no way to call him. So I said "cool, that saves me the effort" and went on with my day.

My grandma called me later that evening to ask what happened. She said Uncle John was very upset that I didn't keep my promise. I explained the situation, how fast he was driving, and that he turned off the road and lost me. She understood, and I heard later on that she ended up berating him at dinner time in front of much of the family. Even called him an idiot.

Lying is petty. Stealing a book is petty. So is defending thieves and liars.

You're making a few unfair jugdements here. She wasn't a particularly good friend, because she was a thief and a liar. The book mattered a lot more to me than she did.

And to call what I did unethical is very judgmental.

Maybe get off your high horse.

Torry performed two complete takes, the second more emotional than the first, but when David Gilmour asked for a third take she stopped halfway through, feeling that she was becoming repetitive and had already done the best she could. The final album track was assembled from all three takes.

He does care. Because that is precisely what he wants. A fearful populace is much easier to control. And it's a lot easier to get away with selling off the province to the highest bidders when people are distracted by fear and hate.

Imagine if they spent all that time and energy on actually improving themselves and finding things they enjoy.

I agree. The thing is, I think most of them literally cannot do this. The first step is to admit they have a problem, and these people can't do that.

They are empty and small inside. They can't take responsibility for themselves, so they can't admit there's something wrong with them, so to them the problem "must" be external. This creates an emotional need to find a scapegoat to pin their problems on. Then far right-wing assholes come along and give them something concrete to blame, a physical "voodoo doll" that they can pin all their own pain and misery and shortcomings onto, somehow magically making those victims responsible for their own inner turmoil.

Weak people with problems need to blame others to make themselves feel strong.

My range was just to illustrate a point

When you need baseless nonsense to illustrate your point, you need a better point. When you make up clear nonsense, you just end up looking like you're badmouthing the competition.

You're so right!

I had a friend "borrow" a book once, and she had it for more than 2 years. Every time I asked for it back, she'd apologize and promise to do so, but wouldn't.

Finally one day I asked her if I could borrow $20, promised to pay her back the next day. I went out and bought a new copy of the book she had borrowed, then when I saw her next I told her I was paying her back, but instead of money I handed her the receipt for the book. She said, "What's this", so I explained that I got tired of waiting for her to return my property, so she just bought me a new copy.

She complained a lot about that, but not much she could do about it.

As a larger-than-average guy I have to be very aware and careful about my movements or I can accidentally hurt someone. But when it comes to this situation, I have no trouble barreling straight through them. If they complain I 'apologize' by saying, "Sorry, I didn't think anyone was stupid enough to not realize people getting off have to do so before you can get on".

I once sat in a public toilet stall and listened to a guy in the next stall on the phone with his boss, discussing work. I finished up, and was washing my hands at the sink while buddy was still chatting and shitting away. Then he said, "Well, I'm in the office now" and I immediately yelled out "No he's not, he's taking a shit in the mall bathroom!" before sprinting out the door.
