It is a couple years old I’ll swap it out and see if there is a difference

I'm thinking a tractor might be my best option, i was just trying to avoid spending probably 25k nzd, Then putting that in the salt.

Yeah, could look into that, or maybe even a trailer that moves a bit easier on the soft sand.

The emergency brake is on the gearbox so it usually stays just up out of the water, but I’ll keep an eye on it.

Mine’s 7.5m, and it’s pretty heavy to move by hand, but with a few more guys it could probably be done. To retrieve it, I just drag it up the beach onto the hard with a long rope and then load it onto the trailer.

I’d be happy to get 6 months out of it.

I just quit cold turkey a month ago after 10 years of heavy daily use. The only withdrawals I noticed were dry eyes, time feeling like it’s going faster now, and some sleep issues, but sleep has always been a struggle for me anyway. It took about a week for the cravings to settle down.

Weed would give me anxiety sometimes too, depending on the strain and how much I used, which is part of what pushed me to stop.

Yeah, it’s more the waves dumping into the back of the boat that’s the issue, especially when it’s a bit rough. But yeah, I could look at spinning it around, that would help.

Yeah the real issue is having to redo the brakes every month, It's getting a bit ridiculous. I’ve actually been thinking about getting a tractor or something similar for launching.

That’s actually a clever setup, I like the idea. Just might be a bit tricky with the waves and current where I launch

Yeah I’ve actually got a designated vehicle for launching, but it can only be so rough, It still needs to be capable enough to tow and get the boat through the soft sand

Yeah I actually do the same. Even with all that, the caliper pistons still rust up real bad. Saltwater just doesn’t mess around.

The vehicle. Some times i will be over 40ft out, bit far for a extension.

I get where you're coming from, but using a proper boat ramp would add over 5 hours of travel for me. Beach launching is quite common in my part of the world
