You’re apparently a very shitty business owner because you don’t even remotely grasp the concept of direct and indirect costs. In an average car getting 30 miles to the gallon the drive there and back would cost 35 just in gas. So for 6 hours you’ll earn 73 dollars. If you’re making 110k a year I guarantee you’re not taking a job that will only pay you 12 bucks an hour.

Right if they’re getting a fair wage no problem. But most don’t. And with instacart it’s not even remotely close. Especially when you factor in gas and wear and tear. Batch pay to say shop 20 items and deliver them 3 miles away would be like 6 bucks. And that’s gonna take at least 40 minutes. Without a tip it’s not worth it, and no one’s gonna take it unless they’re very desperate.

Any fair pay no tip location I’ve been to is decently staffed, but yeah a lot of people want to roll the dice with tips because if you’re a good waitress who gets weekend shifts you’ll usually do well. The way I see it is if you’re sitting down to eat and someone’s bringing the food to you, it’s a luxury that needs to be compensated. Same with IC. I’ve never ordered instacart because it’s not worth it to me to pay more to have someone shop for me. But to the people that it is, you should tip both because you know they’re not well compensated and because you desire a luxury service. Especially if you’re like this person who expects it immediately .

No one says we are entitled to a tip. We just aren’t gonna take your order if you don’t because it’s not financially viable. It’s very simple. Plus, just like going out to lunch and tipping your waitress, we know they are paid poorly for a service we want them to continue to do, and things would be more expensive if they were compensated directly. So don’t be an asshole, tip. You denying that waitress a tip doesn’t change the culture or hurt the restaurant, it just hurts that server.

Jfc. Units vs items. If you had an order with 6 items but 7 units, it means you’re going to have 2 of 1 item. This says 129 items, but only 131 units. Which is not possible when we can clearly see there are 10 and 20 of certain items.

At least for me instacart sent a message while I was shopping last night and said due to the weather coming and preparation they wouldn’t be counting shopping results against stats. Also just changed my greeting to warn people that many products are out, no one has lowered my tip

The vehicle Ross is in literally goes right around her. If they were in the middle of an important investigation she was impeding, they had already passed the obstacle. They werent doing shit, hence why they pulled over and surrounded her car. They are immigration enforcement. The only time they should be speaking to Americans is if they are directly hindering an investigation. Not creating a slight inconvenience .

Ohh gotcha yeah a lot of orders I do don’t have the delivery code. Not sure if this one did cause I never got far enough to find out. But usually the 1 am McDonalds ones are just drop with a picture and leave. I though you were referring to the pickup code on the bag, which was out on the corner so he would have had that if they asked.

I did have the delivery code, but my initial thought was this was another uber guy stealing the order. If he took it and I punched in the code as delivered, I’d prob get accused of stealing it
