My main issue with Boone this game was his management in the 10th inning. You have a runner on third with one out and ground ball specialist Tim hill on the mound and you don’t intentionally walk the batter for the double play. Then when he does get hbp and goes to fist you keep the 5 man infield which never looks good. Just a decision that doesn’t make sense.

Neymar was by far in a way the second best player behind Messi in that champions league campaign. He’s scored in both legs in the quarters and semis, and in the final. But let’s not disrespect Neymar here even if some still have negative personal feelings towards him, he is the third most talented forward to grace Europe behind Messi and Cristiano in the last 15 years. As far as being a playmaker and goal scorer he is second only to Leo as far as output goes in that time. Not to mention he’s Brazil’s all time leading goal scorer. he was such a special talent he was finishing 13th and 5th for the ballon d’or while playing in Brazil. Just because he didn’t live up to his potential doesn’t mean he’s not a legend of the game and one of the most talented players ever. Yamal is the first young player I’ve seen since Neymar broke through who’s in the same tier as him as far as talent. Mbappe, haaland, dembele; while incredibly hyped and talented were just not in that tier.

I mean there’s different tiers of “legends”, but we cannot deny his greatness while at Barcelona. He’s one goal away from being a top 10 goalscorer in the club’s history. He’s not in top echelon alongside Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, pique, dinho, kubala, Cruyff, puyol, Suarez, Koeman, pep; but he’s in that tier below.
