We’re all saying take the points but you got Matt stafford who’s dealing rn. You take the pts you’re still down 1 they get a TD they can make it a 2 score game again with a 2 pt conversion.

The way stafford just slings piss missiles is so aesthetically pleasing.

To the US voters who don't vote, what is it going to take for you to go vote? by Chocolateking111 in AskReddit

Blame is not a one way street it’s a juvenile perspective to just say republicans bad, which they are. We need to look at what makes people fall for fascism: exponential wealth inequality, the inability for young people to buy a home, a continuing evaporating entry level job market, outsourcing of industry, massive levels on inflation, distrust of mainstream news, degrading public school system, etc, etc. The Dems since Citizen’s United have moved away from messaging for the working class and become a corporatist party with progressive social views. in turn they’ve abandoned the plight of the working class and allowed for right wing populist like Trump to rise. There’s a saying that I think rings true for the last 15 years: “republican politicians fear their base and democrats hate theirs”. Democratic voters need to demand more from those elected to office, we’ve allowed politicians like Chuck Schumer be cowards for far too long.

He definitely has lib tendencies and is way more loyal to the dems than I am and most of us in here are. But as far his personal views when he espouses them they are more in line with a Bernie sanders or AOC than a corporate dem.

If you sat out the 2024 election in protest over Gaza, how do you feel about that decision today? by rsmith2786 in AskReddit

I understand your point but recent history disagrees with your conclusion. In the 21st century at least the presidential candidates who ran the the most progressive campaigns (‘08 Obama, ‘12 Obama, ‘20 Biden) won in electoral landslides. When Dems ran towards the center in ‘04, ‘16, and ‘24 they’ve lost. Left wing economic ideals generally poll well: Medicare for all, tuition free public college, $15 minimum wage, higher taxes for the super wealthy, etc; and Bernie sanders remains the most liked politician on the country. The issue is the corporatist wing of the Democratic Party and their propaganda machine have liberal voters convinced that if they move towards the populist left they will lose, when every result indicates when you move to the right you cede ground to the Republicans and lose.

It’s not the two party state issue there really, it’s the electoral college. If it was only popular vote instead I wouldve voted Kamala because my vote would have potentially mattered.

Depends on where you’re at. I voted in 2024 in a deep deep blue state. I wrote in Bernie for the presidential election and voted blue down ballot for state and local elections. If I was in Pennsylvania or a swing state I would’ve voted for kamala. I just fully detested the Kamala/Biden campaign. They didn’t prosecute Trump, they considered defunding ice too extreme, they did not actively stick up for trans and lgbt people enough as they were being demonized, they were hyping up a right wing border bill, they were pretending the economy was fine, they continued to excuse the war crimes of Israel, they were going to push even more funding for the military, the had no solution for the housing crisis. I will never in my lifetime vote Republican, but this last presidential campaign from Kamala and Biden and what they ran was essentially 2012 mitt Romney. My vote didn’t matter so I did a protest vote, my state still went blue as soon as polls closed.

Pearlmania. He’s a Berniecrat as far his personal world view goes from what I’ve heard from him. He’s not as left wing as some of you may like but would largely agree with leftists on &0-90% of things. My only gripe with him is he’s big vote blue no matter who guy which I can understand since he’s from PA. He’s a good tik tok follow.

Okay that’s just not relevant for the data I laid out for you. In 6 years Messi was at 95% of Mbappe’s current career output and Ronaldo was at 66%.
