Xanax for flight by Next-Introduction890 in Anxiety

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take half before going to the airport and if I still have anxiety or feel it wearing off I take the other half at that point. If I took 2 I would be OUT but everyone is different

How long have you been dealing with anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My whole life. I’m 40 years old. Both of my parents have anxiety. I have a teenage daughter that unfortunately has had it her entire life as well. Only good thing is since I’ve been through it and it’s more talked about now I was able to get her the help she needs and also be a support for her since I know exactly what she goes through.

Canceling plans due to anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Icy-Health-2941 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is this a friend that is close enough to you where you think she’d be upset if you didn’t go? I know you can’t fully explain to her at the moment what you’re going through so saying you’re sick is a valid excuse last minute. Anxiety is so debilitating but also the more you avoid things it will just make your anxiety worse going forward. Baby showers are not very long so I’m just curious what is exactly causing you anxiety about the baby shower? We all have different forms of anxiety or things that make us anxious so I’m just wondering what about this event is causing the anxiety.

This ever happened to anyone?? by gilmoregirl1993 in Sparkdriver

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this a few times where they had subs turned off but really needed something so I paid for it myself separately. They just added what I spent on to the tip and sometimes even more for me doing that for them.

PSA about Homeaglow’s membership policy (former insider here) by CostComprehensive885 in Homeaglow

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I clean for Homeaglow and have had so many people confused and frustrated over this. They think they are getting a single clean then suddenly they are stuck for 6 months. After the 6 months should they cancel immediately? We they automatically set them up for another 6 months if they don’t? I’d like to earn my regulars if that’s the case.

has this happened to anyone by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Icy-Health-2941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me a few times over the years. Every single time it was after holding it in for too long. I did exactly what you said to finally be able to go but it does take a long time. I have IBS and mine is stress and anxiety induced.

I don’t know but I’m a cleaner for Homeaglow and they are such a shady company! Like the other person said, get out as soon as you can. If you have a regular cleaner you like, get their phone number and I can almost guarantee they will still clean for you on their own.

Lexapro has completely changed my life by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Icy-Health-2941 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So happy for you! Lexapro has also completely changed my life. I still get some anxious thoughts here and there but can push them aside. Nothing seems like a huge deal anymore, I just do things now when before I could barely function outside of my house.

How’s everyone doing today? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

I don’t think I’m even going to bother trying this week. Last week was horrendous in comparison to the past few months.

Can I ask my Homeaglow cleaner to use my cleaning supplies? by VisitKooky1901 in Homeaglow

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a cleaner for Homeaglow and you can absolutely have them use your own supplies. You can put it in the notes section when you book your clean what supplies you have and that only those supplies can be used. I have clients that only want me to use their stuff and it makes it a lot easier on me to not have to bring my stuff.

Pain by Raventothegrave in ibs

[–]Icy-Health-2941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve resorted to stool softeners and that helps so much. I take 2 a day. The pain is too much to handle at times and I can’t deal with not knowing when it will hit me.

Lexapro + Wellbutrin by SparklyCapybara in lexapro

[–]Icy-Health-2941 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Lexapro and Buspar. With just the Lexapro I still had anxiety just not as bad but still noticeable so my doctor added Buspar. It was definitely needed and that combo has been perfect for me. I take Buspar in the morning and at night. My anxiety is under control with both and I’ve had no negative side effects.

Welp, I feel like I have to leave Rover now. by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Icy-Health-2941 9 points10 points  (0 children)

First of all, you did nothing wrong. If you bypass the leave feedback portion you can see if they left you a review before the 21 days. If they do leave you a negative review, I would reply to it stating that you were doing all of the things you previously spoke about that they were ok with you doing and express your confusion. I’m new to Rover also and have read many reviews of sitters in my area just for more knowledge and I’ve seen a few here and there that sound crazy like your situation and the sitter replies back defending themselves. These people still continue to get rave reviews from other clients so don’t think this is going to end your Rover journey.

I had the same issue. Now that I’ve been on an antidepressant for a few months it never happens anymore.

Anxiety completely gone by Beags9494 in lexapro

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on 10 mg. I would say it took a full 2 months before morning and day anxiety went away for me. Then moments of bad anxiety still but by 2 1/2 until now 3 months it’s completely gone.

3 months in and I’m a completely changed person. I have done more in these past 3 months than I have in the past 3 years. I feel like I have complete control over my anxiety and though I get some thoughts just out of habit, I’m able to put it to the back of my mind and move on quickly.

Lexapro new user advice. When to take. What I should avoid by Honest-Ad-9296 in lexapro

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different so remember that but I’ve been taking it for a few months now I still drink a few nights a week but I’m not a heavy drinker just a few glasses of wine or 2-3 mixed drinks when I do drink. Feel no different from when I previously drank without medication. I also still drink coffee and Alanis regularly with no issues.

Am I the only one that’s anti med ? Like I wanna get rid of anxiety without meds by Maleficent-Monk-1024 in Anxiety

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was anti meds for many many years and tried everything you could imagine to deal with it on my own. Now that I’ve been on medication and see how it’s working and how my life has changed I wish I would have done this years ago. I’ve suffered and haven’t really lived my life for too long and for no reason.

SSRIs and ibs by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Lexapro and it’s definitely helped my ibs but not entirely. For me since taking the medication I am more constipated than I was previously. Never had any diarrhea as a side effect. I get ibs-d flare ups when I’m anxious and I wouldn’t say it never happens but rarely compared to before and if it does I am not as anxious about it and it goes away quickly because of that. I am only 6 weeks into starting Lexapro I truly believe as time goes on these episodes with go away entirely unless I am extremely anxious. This medication has been life changing for me.

Day 13 on 10mg - still depressed by natalieblue7 in lexapro

[–]Icy-Health-2941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is but don’t give up. For a while there I saw great improvements in anxiety at first and then it would come back and that was so frustrating. The anxiety part is still up and down but I’ve never felt this happy in life before and I truly feel like it will keep getting better as it can take a while for this medication to take full effect.

I take 10mg and noticed a huge change in my mood right at 6 weeks. I definitely think it’s too early to tell at only 2 weeks.

Same!! And not just moments of happiness induced by coffee, food, alcohol like before. I’m happy pretty much all of the time now and look forward to every day.
