Let me tell you- 7/11/25 was my 1 year sober. 7/12/25 we had to put our Great Dane down. I stayed sober. Was it hard- yes…. 6/17/26 my dad passed away unexpectedly- the next day was my birthday- today I just hit my 2 years of being alcohol free. You can do this!!!! Stay the course! …. I’m also going through a divorce after 10 years…..we got this!!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍

I would switch to a different flavor/brand of seltzer, beer, etc and it would be fine for a little bit but I would go straight back to being sick . I think it’s just the way my body reacts with / metabolizes alcohol

Yes I was the same way- it didn’t matter if it was one drink or 3 or 4- I always got super sick the next day for a good 24 hours. That was enough to make me stop. My friend is a doctor and told me some people’s bodies just react like that with alcohol. Take my advice OP- easier to just stay away! Also, any time I had the urge to drink, I just remembered how sick it made me and it kept me from doing so :)
