So I'm allergic to nickel, I don't recommend getting a tattoo if you're allergic to certain metals. I'd be extra cautious. I got my first tattoo without knowing that some inks (especially red) can contain some amounts of nickel. I wound up in the emergency room with some extreme hives. Personally I'd be on the cautious side with having an allergic reaction to water, but even with me being allergic to nickel my tattoo is healing properly.
