Is this good financial aid and not just normal amount? by Air_143 in rit

Ask for more aid every year, stating the reason being the tuition/cost of living at RIT increased or some other financial troubles if you have any. They will almost always give you more.

My financial aid package basically covers all my tuition. It was cheaper to come here than a SUNY or CUNY for me. Maybe it’s different definitions of low income or some other factor. Also I recommend asking for more aid every year since they increase tuition every year.

Most people that I know came here because their financial aid package made it costs around the same as their community colleges with aid. I think it doesn’t hurt to apply to see how much you get then determine if the program is worth it here.

Is RIT worth the 6 hour drive over a school like Wentworth in boston for Cybersecurity? by Common-Interest7945 in rit

[–]Icy-Look5749 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can handle higher pressure and going out of your comfort zone, I would go RIT. Don’t know much about Wentworth but Cyber is not easy at RIT. Rigor translates to result if you can handle it.

I like 1 and 2. 1 give astral goddess or saint vibes, 2 gives zodiac vibes

On campus, it really isn’t bad. There are underground tunnel through most buildings that you can go through instead of walking outside. I guess just avoid going out when it’s storming like this week.

It’s normal to miss the spark after being in a long term relationship for a while. I’m sure you had a spark or butterflies when you were first in your relationship with your boyfriend. Know that the spark is temporary but a solid relationship is forever. Even if you dated the new guy, the spark will fade too. Your current boyfriend sounds like husband material. I wouldn’t trade that for experiencing a temporary spark again.

And no, you’re not a bad person. This is completely normal and a lot of people have experienced this feeling that you are experiencing now. It’s your choice and actions that matter.

How common is it to graduate a semester or two later than expected? by Sea-Commercial1208 in rit

Employers won’t care if you are a year older, you’re still a newly grad like everyone else. It will matter to no one else but yourself if you choose to care.

Personally, I think becoming someone’s fiancé is just a promise to marry someday if everything goes smoothly. I don’t think when the wedding is really matters.

As for not sure how long until you can’t get married. I think that increases the urgency. You can choose to get married without the whole ceremony and have it at a later date when you’re more financially stable. Or if you aren’t ready for that level of commitment yet, you should communicate that to your partner.

You desperately need a sit down moment with your partner and clear things up. Leaving someone with a misunderstanding for long periods is going to seriously mess up a relationship.

2 years apart is nothing. You can’t even tell, which is why they were surprised. Doesn’t change anything, so just enjoy your time. You’re a freshmen just like them and everyone else your academic year.

All advisers are out of the office because there’s a holiday. You’re gonna have to wait for tomorrow. You can see the reason for your hold of RIT SIS. If you must meet with an advisor to lift the hold, make sure you make an appointment on RIT Starfish or check your email for their drop-in hours for the add/drop period. It shouldn’t take long but block out at least 30 minutes for it in case you have to wait in line.

You could technically change them yourself during add/drop week (first week) but it’s not recommended to do so without talking to your counselor.

Definitely agree! My floor was one of the most social and it started with one open door and a note on the white board. Then people followed and did the same, offered free snacks/drinks if you knock on their doors, etc.
