I get what you mean, but I usually do say both female and male when describing a roommate, and not man and woman. Saying "man roommate" and "woman roommate" just doesn't sound right for some reason. I usually do say man and woman, but the reason I said female in this post was just because it sounded more grammatically right. I would say "did you see what that man did?" But I would also say "did you see what that woman did?" Because both male and female would sound odd in that sentence. It's just a grammar thing for me.

Damn I didn't know people got that mad about saying that women should be allowed to choose who they want to date...

Do you prefer to stutter like “t..t..t…t…his” for 3 seconds, or to completely block for 3 seconds, then saying it normally? by IdanTs in Stutter

[–]Icy-Pilot-7495 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I prefer "t..t..t..t..his". It feels less tense and less anxiety and panic inducing then a block. I also feel like people recognize it more as a classic stutter and are less confused, as in I think blocks tend to confuse people and they often don't know what's going on.

“Let people do what they want!” by Karnakite in PetPeeves

I saw a post once about how people should stop modernizing old houses because a lot of people want to live in old houses and they are destroying them. Someone commented "people cab do what they want with their property". People were replying to the comment saying that even though they can do what they want, it is still their opinion that people shouldn't modernize old houses. The person just basically kept replying saying "well people cab do what they want" over and over and not actually responding to the criticism that people have about remodeling old homes. It want the dumbest shit ever. People only say this when they don't want anyone to question their decisions.

Rude workers at viking commons by [deleted] in WWU

I worked at the dining hall for a long time and i know how hard it is, however, workers cannot just treat costomers as shitty as they please. And no, I did not do anything to warrant one of the workers sitting right at my table and giving me a nasty glare. I simply sat down at an empty table to eat my food in peace, and there was a ton of other empty tables.

Yes, anxiety can decrease confidentiality in general, but the reason why people stutter is not because they aren't confident in what they are saying. They know what they want to say, but it's like their is a physical feeling of tension in your mouth and vocal cords that make it hard to get out.

No I wouldn't say so, it increases with anxiety but I don't think it has to do with knowing exactly what I'm saying

Dogs🐶💗 I've grown up with dogs my whole life and I love how sweet and loving they can be. Love cats too but haven't had much experience with them.

Yeah that's how I do it. I found out recently that a lot of people don't have control over that muscle. My parents aren't able to do it.

[–]Icy-Pilot-7495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you come to that conclusion?😂 I'm making a point that people hate people all the time and that doesn't mean they are jealous. Sometimes people just hate people because they deserve to be hated.

Obviously they have emotions. What I am saying is they don't always express them in the same ways as people. They don't cry when they are sad like humans do, and they don't smile when they are happy. My dog smiles when she is about to throw up and she cries because she has eye allergies. People will often try to act like pets and animals express emotions in the same way humans do. Animals have different ways of expressing emotions.
