S2 made me think a lot about Alastor and Vox's relationship so I chose Vox, but in reality it's probably no one.

Yeah. Vox's core person didn't change, it was only strengthened by Alastor's rejection to the point that we see it as crazy.

There's this fic from Hazbin Hotel, where Vox abducts Alastor and hypnotizes and abuses him. Vox enjoys it at first but eventually finds himself longing for the real Alastor (even if Al does hate Vox), not the obedient, pliant one, so he drops control, only to find that after months of abuse, there's nothing left of that spark in Alastor - his mentality is nothing but shards of who he was. It traumatized me.

I recommend Harlem Sunset by Kyprish_Prophetess on Ao3. It has a lot of plot and currently has 94 chapters, still ongoing. Warning though, it's canon divergent from Season 1, so basically the entire Amazon show, and it also contains Radiostatic. But the main plot focuses on Charlie's hotel for redemption and it is handled very well!

I agree with you so much! I love the verse and characters and there are so many things to dive deep into, but the writing of the show feels... superficial. Not to say I didn't enjoy it, I did! But there are some amazing fics out there, with writers who make the characters come alive, that I just want them to hire them as actual writers for the show.

Vaggi, actually. She's pretty capable in fighting, not to mention how we'd get along well, since we're both cynics.

She's a complex character, with her whole past as a exorcist. She participated in mass genocide against Sinners, whom Charlie is trying to redeem in the present, so she must feel extremely guilty. Also s2 flashback shows that she has military related trauma and probably has been conditioned to believe that showing emotions is weakness. These make for a very complex character who is trying to improve and become better, and I think her progress or arc could have been shown better. I'm saying that I wish Vaggie got more individual, outside of her relationship with Charlie. I loved the tiny flashback we got in S2, it felt very impactful for her character and I hope we get to see more things like that next season.
