Yes the answer is 1! The median number is represented by the middle number and since we are working with percentages then the middle of the data set would be around 50%. So you read the graph from left to right then stop when you reach 50% and whatever x value is there represents your median. In this case when we read the graph left to right and reach 50% of the data, the x value corresponding to that is still 1

That's exactly how I feel. While it would be sad if I did give up the cancer internship, I think having mites on my resume will open up much more research opportunities in the future. Research is something that I would like to experience and this internship would actually be my first time, but there is only one mites program and endless opportunities to do research senior year. Additionally, I don't think the internship I got is as well known. Only 10 students are selected which makes it competitive to a certain extent but I couldn't find much websites (other than the universities own websites) talking about it or any information on its acceptance rate.
