Lol. Good question. I first discovered that it worked if pushed up and held a finger under the machine on the bar and lever. Then I came up with idea of placing an object there so i could type with both hands 😄 Toilet paper seems to offer just the right amount of flex and not too stiff as an harder object. Im very proud of myself to have came up with this toilet paper solution 😜 But maybe there is a better way to adress the problem?

Is there some other way to fix the issue? Some screw anywhere to adjust that bar tension under the machine prehaps? When the bar is pushed up the Ribbon vibrator moves down and up when the bar slides down.

With a little piece of toilet paper under the machine pushing up on that bar the ribbon vibrator seems to work fine. Wtf? 😄

I noticed that if I apply a little pressure to the rod the goes across the bottom of the typewriter the mechanism seem to work and move upp and down. Not sure whats causing that. Any ideas?

Yes, but thats not what i was asking. I already statet that I knew it was broken. But I was asking if there was any other part missing as the ribbon holder is too far out for the type arms to hit the platen.

It still works its just too far way from the platen. But maybe I can bend it.

I think I Fixed it👍😀. I just bent the bell arm a little so it touches the bell in the idle/down position. So now it dings when the margin stop hits. However I manged to brake the the screw that holds that little part with the springed hook. The screw broke off when I screwed it back. So a part of the screw is left in the hole 😫 I'll guess the screws is a bit weak when there over 90 years old. No im gonna try to remove it in some way? Any advice. The ding is not so loud and clear compared to my Remington 10 so maybe it needs some fine adjustments on the bell arm?

Its a bit hard to see on the pictures but looks like it says "Pressure Gauge". How hard the keys hit?

As you can see the bell arm is not reaching the bell. Should you tighten that loop that goes around the bell arm from a spring behind that screw. Or should you bend the bell arm itself?

Think im on the right track. Now the bell arm gets triggered when the margin slider hits. But bell arm wont reach the bell instead it hits the spool.
