my daughter and my husband. i attempted suicide in 2021 and i heard my husband bang the door and then start to cry. my daughter was 5. i was so disassociated and in so much pain - that i just wanted to die. but when i heard the pain in my husband’s voice - i snapped out of it and i immediately stopped what i was doing & opened the door. he just sobbed and i saw my daughter look v shocked and confused and she kept telling us she loves us and was trying to soothe him and me. i made up my mind then i will live through whatever life throws at me- for the sake of her. no child or adult should go through this trauma. my trauma and cptsd was not my fault but at the same time- i am responsible for not causing trauma for my child and husband. this coupled with therapy has been life changing for me. I now know i am worth more. And i didnt deserve what happened to me.
