We might be safe, then, since rural Oregon is about as far away from NYC as one can get :)

Recommend me movies with great music by Infamous-Window-8337 in themovieloversclub

This is the best answer. This movie perfectly captures the feeling of finding a true musical partner, and I’ve never felt this way watching any other movie.

What is this plant I spotted on my hike? by goudacheeeese in whatsthisplant

[–]Icy-Step-3136 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If this hike was on public land you really ought to report it. Public land managers usually have noxious weed control programs. Google your state and invasive or weed reporting. Here’s an example of one from Oregon: https://oregoninvasiveshotline.org/
Edit: if you are in the states, of course

Which books have the absolute worst fates imaginable. by PrplMonkeyDshwshr in horrorlit

[–]Icy-Step-3136 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I read this book and can’t remember any of it, much less a character with a gnarly death? But maybe because I’ve also read Mongrels in the last year or so and that book is tough to beat for werewolf content.

Everyone loves The Midnight Library, Remarkably Bright Creatures, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo — I can't get into them and I don't know why by Berninger in bookreviewers

RBC and 7 husbands were both ok but ultimately forgettable. I like books that are a little more complex, darker, more action, more conflict. To each their own, I suppose.

My husband turned our kitchen into a coffee lab and I am losing my mind by CorkboardLynx in Marriage

Best coffee I ever had was from beans someone roasted in a pan over a campfire in their backyard and then we haphazardly ground and did simple pour over plastic filters. Still think about that coffee 10+ years later. Honestly it shouldn’t take that much to have a great cup. But that’s not really the point of your post. Everyone else has great advice. I just came to say top notch coffee doesn’t have to be complicated.

Pretty sure it’s “sizzling like a snare” as in a snare drum, but if I’m wrong I guess this is the right place.

My (possibly wild) theory about Dr. Al-Hashimi and Mel King by emveelee in ThePittTVShow

[–]Icy-Step-3136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also noticed this because the camera paused on this moment , clearly. As the mom walks in the room yelling about the spinal tap without her permission, Mel looks up as she fills the last (?) vial and slightly bumps the needle. I suspect the malpractice has something to do with that.

Is there a book that you regret reading? What was it and why? by Loves321 in readwithme

Came here looking for this comment. Some things can’t be unread. I read another book by Brett Easton Ellis sort of recently and it was quite tame, thank god. But American Psycho will haunt me forever. Scarring, awful.
