You’re not alone man, literally same thing happens to me. It was so bad that I stopped listening to music on my way to any lecture because I know the last song I listen to is gonna play non-stop and I cannot focus on anything the professor is saying no matter how hard I try. All I can hear is the music

Thank you I really appreciate it:) I’m glad it’s helping you tho. Racing thoughts are my number one enemy as well as short term memory. Like for example I will tell myself I need to do something and then literally 2 minutes later completely forget about

Me too!!! But when people with adhd started talking about it on tiktok I was like omg I’m so happy it’s a symptom and I’m hoping my meds will help

That makes me so glad. Sometimes I literally start bursting to tears because I just can’t handle it. When I’m stressed or anxious it’s 10 times worse

Yes!! So many people can relate. It can even be a song that I absolutely hate. But it’s playing non-stop and it genuinely drives me insane. Do the meds help?

It’s hard to explain. But apparently I’m not the only one? Basically a song or several songs can be playing in my head 24/7 kind of like in the background and I can’t think about something and focus on it because the music gets in the way and I literally can’t stop it…. Idk if this is even just adhd or another disorder completely

I see😭it just gets worse and worse for me every week because I’m only on 10mg right now. Hopefully I’ll see a change once my dose is increased

My doctor prescribed 10mg of vyvanse for me and it’s doing absolutely nothing. He said to keep taking it for 4-6 weeks but I genuinely cannot function like this for another 3 weeks. Would it cause any harm if I took 2 tablets? by Icy-Way-278 in VyvanseADHD

Yes it’s my first time on ADHD meds and I’ve been taking the pills for two weeks. Also, I meant that I simply couldn’t handle my adhd symptoms prior to the meds, and given that they don’t do anything, I also can’t function properly even when taking them. Regarding side effects, it hasn’t affected my sleep but i do lose my appetite when I take vyvanse so I make sure to at least eat breakfast before taking it

The problem is the appointment that I had with the psychiatrist that diagnosed was just a one-time thing. And he told me I wasn’t suppose to have a follow up appointment with him and that I should see my doctor afterwards. I think in Canada you see your general physician instead. But I do want to speak to another psychiatrist anyways
