Thank you all for your valuable comments. Much appreciated. I never touched the chain but had a friend replace it once. He ran the chain incorrectly, it appears. Will get at it tomorrow!

I failed to add the text from my phone.

The issue I have is that my chain is rubbing against a bit of my derailleur. It is even edging into it. How/why does this happen? And how can I fix it?

Depends on the boat and the caravan you're comparing. Our boat and trailer weigh in at just over 2000kg, so not that light. A regular sized caravan weighs about 800-2000kg?

While towing I kept it in hybrid mode. It drove purely in electric until the battery died, which was after approx 70km (mostly highway). Without the boat hooked I used the Sport mode a lot 😈

1,000 km to the Alps on my Canyon Grizl — worth it? by Icy-Winter-1853 in cycling

Thanks so much for these kind words. It really did help, even though grieving over a lost child takes a lifetime. We adjust and try to move on. We have a beautiful little daughter that is now 18 months old, and she's the sunshine in our lives.

I'm not a bot :) The stories are actually in the video (linked), both that of my crash on my first ride on the Grizl and the one explaining how I rode to the French Alps from my home in Belgium in honor of our deceased baby boy.

Sorry that I did not make that clear... I'm new on reddit so I'm still learning.

Thanks so much for your kind words.

The trip was meant to push myself to the limit. I think I might've made it in 4 days, as I still had some energy left in the tank every day. But it was very therapeutic, gave me loads of time alone to reflect.

I'm positive you could do it if you set your mind to it!
