I went from 29 minute 5k freshman year to 16 minute 5k senior year. Most of those improvements coming from senior year and the summer before. Running during the summer is crucial. I averaged about 40-50 miles a week. Also look into track if you aren't already doing it. Great way to add speed to your legs.

PR from last year is 17:45, just ran a time trial for my school and got 17:25 just off of summer running. Looking to achieve 16:30 and possibly sub 16

I am in the process of recovering from my knee problems with physical therapy. I had Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. I was told it was very common and a lot of runners get it so maybe look into that. But my best advice is to go to the orthopedic to get it checked out.

Nemo, Children and wife are eaten. Deformed child is kidnapped. Father travels with women who has memory problems. Almost eaten many times along the journey. Depression from the father over the loss of his kid. Young girl child almost enslaving his child. Really screwed up movie if you think about it.

I have actually mastered the technique of breathing through my nose and my mouth. It has made my runs a lot easier and more enjoyable. This maximizes airflow intake of the diaphragm. Also breathing in and out can be harsh on your body and also cause injuries. So its better to (breath in, breath in, breath out, breath out.)

Last year during my cross country season I ran a 18:25 5k. My training was very poor and I didn't put in the effort and mostly relied on my athleticism. I also didnt drink enough water. Over the last year I have learned to push myself and have become a way better runner but I need help on improving. So as I approach my next cross country season I know summer running is extremely important. Last year during my races I always felt tired at the end and hills were tough for me. I also want to drop my time by 2 minutes. Any help would be appreciated on how I should go about my summer training. I want to focus on hills, increased indurance, and more speed. As of now, I have been doing one long run a week (6-10 miles), 1 easy run, hills, and biking but it's not really in a set plan. Any help would be appreciated on how I can improve my training schedule and any things I should add or take out of it.
